The accommodation module is completely outfitted, ready to use and includes a

top mounted helideck. It is designed and built for 50 persons but can be modified

on request. This technical specification describes the scope of delivery of the

complete accommodation module.

General

Classification

Classification and verification by Lloyds Register The accommodation module is classified as a ”SAFE AREA”. The full envelop of the accommodation module is fire rated for a hydrocarbon free environment.

Geometry

The footprint of the Accommodation module (excluding walkways and landing platform) is 20.8 m x 10.8 m. The lay down area adds another 8 metres to the length. Height from base to top of 4th level is 15.1m. Overall height including Helicopter deck is 20.3 m from base. The module is designed to be supported on minimum four points; footprint 12,0 m x 10,5 m. The total weight of the module is 551 metric tons.

General Layout

The module comprises of four accommodation levels. The lowest level has a lay-down area for two 10 feet containers. On the roof level are located a plant room and a LER. On top of that is an aluminium helicopter deck. Two stair towers are fitted, one on each side of the module. All utility connections are located at the bottom of the utility shaft and in the control room/LER, allowing for easy hook-up of systems. Levels 2 and 3 are dedicated for cabins while levels 1 and 4 are arranged for galley/ messroom and recreation, offices, control room.

Documentation

The accommodation module will be delivered with complete as-built documentation package including oa drawings, test reports, certificates, weight report, Installation & Operation Manual.

Structural

General

The accommodation module is designed and constructed as a four level building with a plant room and LER at roof level. The helideck support structure is an integrated part of the module’s skeleton. Two exterior stair towers are provided from 1st level to helideck level. Roof and lay down area are provided with railing. Primary steel is S335 J2G3 and secondary steel S235 J2 (with appropriate certification). Accommodation is fully welded by qualified welders and approved welding procedures. 10% (random) MPI is executed on major beams.

Helideck

The helicopter deck is constructed from seawater resistant aluminium and has an octagonal shape inscribed in a circle of 22.2 meter. It is fitted with safety netting and a drain gutter around its perimeter. The support structure is constructed of hot rolled carbon steel beams. Helideck is certified for a Sikorsky S61N.

Lifting arrangement

The accommodation module and helideck can be lifted as one module. The 551 tonnes module is lifted from lifting points at the top of the accommodation structure (roof). The aluminium helideck is executed with hatches to accommodate access for the lifting gear. Lifting columns and eyes are 100% MPI tested.

Protective coating

All steel is blasted to SA 2½ and coated in shop primer. External steel is coated with 3-layer system; internal steel is coated with a 1-layer system.

Architectural

General specification

Inside of bulkheads and decks are provided with insulation and applied with interior wall panels where applicable. Floors (steel or insulated tiles) are applied with levelling screed and finished with either vinyl or seamless epoxy (in wet areas). All rooms are provided with a cassette type false ceiling system. Windows are welded marine type and provided with roller blinds or curtains. Internal stairway reaching from 1st to 4th level provided with st.st. handrail on both sides.

Safety & Fire Protection

Fire main system

A hose reel system is fitted throughout the accommodation at all levels. Two hose reels per level and two hose reels for the helicopter deck. Fire water is to be externally supplied.

Fire & Smoke detecting system

On every level fire detectors and smoke detectors are installed

Portable extinguishers

Various classes A, B and C, (weights from 5 to 12kg) portable extinguishers are distributed throughout the module. For the helicopter deck 2 off 10 kg CO² extinguishers are provided.

Galley hood protection system

A R102 system is installed in the galley hood.

Safety Signs

Safety signs (in the English language) and overall safety plan are installed inside the accommodation module. Corridors have fluorescent safety striping on low level.

Safety equipment

The module is fitted with the following safety equipment: Stretcher / 4 off Fireman outfit’s / Supplement for firemen’s outfit / Helicopter deck rescue kit / First aid box / 4 off Eye wash bottles / Fire blankets.

A helicopter deck AFFF-foam system is installed. A twin agent 250 kg dry powder and 250 litres of concentrated foam are located near the helideck. (As per NMD)

HVAC

Design Conditions

The HVAC system is designed for the following conditions: Summer Outside: +35º C / 70% RH Inside: +29º C / 50% RH Inside: +29º C / 50% RH (Galley-Laundry) Winter Outside: -20º C / 0% RH Inside: +20º C / 50% RH Inside: +25º C / 50% RH (Health room) Inside: +20º C / 60% RH (Galley-Laundry) (At a relative wind speed of 12 m/sec) The temperatures are controlled by local humidity- and heat-controllers. Fresh air amount for HVAC in accommodation is 50%, 30m³/hr per person (according NMD rules). The maximum outside air temperature for cooling air for the condensers is +35º C

Air Handling Unit

The Air handling unit (AHU) for the HVAC system is located on the roof of the module in the plant roomn with evaporator/ACCU unit outside. AHU make/type is Heinen&Hopman SALOR.

Piping Systems

General specification

All systems have flanged ends at the bottom of the utility shaft for hook up purposes. All galvanised systems are hot-dip galvanised to EN ISO 1461. All pipes are concealed as much as practical. The following major piping systems are installed:

Potable hot and cold water system

Systems are executed as ring systems with branches to the various users. All pipes and fittings from soldered copper and insulated. Hot and cold water are to be externally supplied.

Sewage system

Consists of two systems; Black-water which serves the toilets and Grey-water for all other systems and facilities. Pipes and fittings from U-PVC materials. Flanged hook-up point is galvanised steel.

Helicopter deck Drain System

Helicopter deck gutter is connected to galvanised steel drain pipe running outside the module.

Electrical & Instrumentation

General

Power, HVAC, lighting and small power installations are based on incoming (emergency-) power supply of 440 Volt, 3 phase, 60 Hertz. No UPS is foreseen. See attached single line diagram and load list for distribution panels and electrical details. Distribution panels are located in the plant room on the roof.

Cable trays

Cable trays and support systems are made of hot dip galvanised steel.

Fire & gas detection system

All detectors, alarm sounders, flash lights, manual call points, telephones, PA/GA equipment are installed and terminated at interface junction box at the bottom of utility shaft or loose to the control room.

Telecom- / Data- / Alarm-installations

PA speakers, RTV- and telephone sockets are installed. No Data sockets, network provisions or central antenna system is foreseen.

Lighting and small power installation

Lighting and small power installation is installed throughout the module, comprising of normal lighting fixtures, emergency lighting fixtures (with battery back-up) and required lighting switches / socket outlets External lighting provided at staircases and walkway at 4th level with termination at interface junction box.

Helicopter deck lighting

Helideck lighting system consists of 6 floodlights and 25 perimeter lights.

Navigation lighting

No navigation lights are foreseen on the module.
