First cut the end of your plinth at an outer angle (see positioning of the skirting above according to the desired side).

For the realization of the end piece, reserve a straight part which will be on the wall side and cut in an outer angle to the dimension of the thickness of your skirting.

Use mounting adhesive or strong adhesive type Loctite.
