The Internet and the Web are constantly influencing the development of new modes of scholarly communication. eg: e- books, e-journals, e-thesis, etc..

So, the successful operation of any library depends to a large extent on the choice of library collections.

All libraries have experienced a tremendous shift in content from print to electronic.
