Trends driving Africa’s Digital Landscape: 1. A study by the World Economic Forum notes that “effectively leveraging ICTs has been shown to contribute to a 50 percent increase in productivity”; 2. The number of mobile subscribers in Africa doubled from 2010 to 2015 to almost one billion mobile phone subscribers; 3. The internet bandwidth grew 30-fold between 2008 and 2016.
