On 6 May 2015, ACCA and the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) signed a Partnership Agreement offering a joint pathway programme (JPP) that serves to strengthen the talent pipeline for the accountancy sector.

All students who are registered with ACCA at the Fundamentals level (F1-F9) from 1st July 2015 onwards will be automatically put on the JPP.

All students who successfully complete the requirements of the Programme will be awarded the ACCA Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business enabling them to progress to the Professional level of the ACCA Qualification.

Examination & Exemption Regulations

1. There are 4 exam sessions a year. (March, June, September & December)

2. Papers must be taken in line with the following module order, however you can attempt the papers within each module in any order:

• Knowledge (F1-F3) – only available in computer-based exam (CBE)

• Skills (F4-F9) – all available in paper-based format with F4 English and F4 Global also available in CBE. From September 2017, ACCA will introduce Computer-based Exam (CBE) for all the skills modules (except F4 & F6 SGP). Students can choose between paper-based & computer-based examinations.

• Professional (Essentials and Options) – available in paper-based format

Intake Period January, April, May (Revision), July, October, November (Revision)

The Foundations in Accountancy (FIA) consists of foundation-level qualifications designed for aspiring accountants who are starting out in areas of accounting and finance or those who are already in the industry but lack the qualifications to advance their career.

Entry Points for FIAFIA offers various entry and exit points that cater to students with different backgrounds and career goals. It is important that you pick the right qualification to maximise your chances of success. Making an appropriate choice of entry improves pass rates, avoids unnecessary cost and time spent to repeat the papers and instils confidence to take on further advanced papers. Students with no academic qual-ification or little understanding of accounting will find it very difficult to succeed at the Diploma level. SAA-GE requires international students to commence at Introductory Certificate, unless students possess recognised relevant qualifications.

Entry RequirementsIn order to qualify for any of the qualifications under FIA, local and international students must be at least 16 years old and fulfill the English language proficiency requirement.

IntakeSAA-GE is offering a well-paced tuition programme for the 4 intakes every year in January, April, July and October.

DurationIntroductory and Intermediate Certificates can be completed at a minumum duration of 3 months. Diploma and Foundation Certificates require at least 6 months for completion.

ExaminationsUnder the FIA suite of qualifications, Computer-Based Examinations (CBEs) are available for papers at Introductory, Intermediate or Diploma level. CBEs are strongly encouraged because it allows students a greater control in planning their studies. CBEs are available monthly and results are instantly available at the end of the examination.

For Option Papers, only paper-based examinations are available. All paper-based examinations are held in June and December every year.

Professional Examination Route English Language RequirementsFIA / CAT PROGRAMME STRUCTURE

In 2011, the original Certificate Accounting Technician (CAT) programme is revised by ACCA and is redesigned as Foundations in Accountancy (FIA).

The overall structure remains the same as shown below:

* Foundations in Professionalism is an online interactive module that needs to be completed only once via the ACCA website.

# Each Options Paper can be taken as a Foundation Certificate. The Foundations in Professionalism module must also be completed

Exemptions for F1 - F3

RegistrationAll new students need to register directly with ACCA. The online application process must be completed for all new students at www.accaglobal.com/applynow. All students must now upload supporting documents and pay the registration fee by Debit or Credit Card to ACCA. The online application process takes no more than 10 minutes and will be processed within 15 working days. For any further queries, you can contact ACCA Connect at (65) 6734 8110 for assistance.

Application Requirements & ProceduresFor Local StudentsSingaporean/SPR students and non-Student’s Pass Holders are to follow the steps below:
