+Academy Premise
The Academy for the Advancement of Health Care Leaders is founded on the premise that the future of health care will be led by clinicians and executives who possess the leadership skills required to guide their organizations into an increasingly complex future.
+Academy Purpose
The purpose of the Academy for Advancement of Health Care Leaders (AAHCL) is to establish a cohesive and comprehensive program that offers training, learning, and mentoring opportunities and helps develop essential skills for leaders in the 21st century health care environment. In part, this will be accomplished by providing present and future leaders with a broader understanding of the responsibilities as leaders, new perspective on critical leadership issues they face, and a deeper understanding and awareness of concepts and techniques relevant to leadership.

Develop future health care leaders
Enhance and expand participants’ leadership knowledge, abilities and skills
Facilitate development of strategic thinking skills that focus on the opportunities and challenges facing health care
Allow participants an opportunity to examine their individual aspirations, strengths, weaknesses and personal commitment to leadership
