#69 – Comparison of Injury Incidence in CrossFit
Athletes
This session will present a grant proposal. Presenters
will focus on the injury rates in CrossFit along with
serum creatine kinase concentrations. They will present
novel hypotheses, with justification of their
importance, and propose a way to evaluate them with
an experimental plan. The students will conclude with
an overview of the broader impacts of the proposed
research.

#77 – Attitudes Toward Work and Others Among
Service Professions
This session will showcase results from a study
examining police officers’ and other service
professionals’ [nurses] perceptions of the impact of
their work on their attitudes toward work. Over time, a
highly stressful occupation, such as policing, can
negatively impact officers’ health. Presenters will
discuss perceptions of and attitudes toward jobs.

#78 – An Exploration of Styryl-Indole Derivatives
Concepts and possible applications of fluorescent
molecules, specifically unnatural amino acids and their
analogs, were explored. A computational analysis was
performed to qualitatively assess various indole
derivatives followed by an attempt at synthesizing one
of the derivatives in order to characterize it.

The sacrifices we ask our military to make not only
affect the service members, but also the friends and
family members surrounding them. Military obligations
can lead to relational tensions that put many military
relationships at risk. Understanding how effective
communication can lead to satisfactory relationship
development during military service could be critical to
the success of these families. Thus, the purpose of this
study is to understand the relationship between
relational maintenance, relational communication, and
relational satisfaction among military couples.

observation of human social behavior on one social
media platform: Yammer. The class first observed the
natural behaviors on Yammer. This was followed with
a persuasion activity to increase Yammer activity, and
