PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Postgraduate Diploma in Management of Health prepares industry leaders with a solid foundation in business analysis and decision–making, a thorough exposure to real–world healthcare management and rewarding professional development opportunities.

This nationally recognized business faculty, together with a select group of highly experienced healthcare industry executives, prepare management of health PgD graduates to assume increasingly responsible management and leadership roles in a wide range of healthcare settings, including health and hospital systems, service provider organizations, insurers and managed care companies, consulting firms, pharmaceutical companies, public health organizations, and medical device and biotechnology firms.

The Administration of Computer Networks postgraduates degree prepares the students for the CISCO CCNA certification. Studies are designed for graduates with a basic knowledge of computer networks, seeking to develop their skills and obtain international certification of the CISCO CCNA professional computer network administrator. The courses are carried out in accordance with a scheme established by CISCO and the graduates are eligible to take the CCNA examination in order to obtain the CCNA certification at any CISCO exam centre. This program exposes students to front office and housekeeping operations. Though a systematic approach to front office procedures will introduce students to the flow of the front office services, from the reservations process to check-in, check-out and account settlement.

Learn to Travel Programs

Summer Course, 8 weeks (four 90 min sessions per week = total 48

hrs).

Learn to Travel Programs aim to help participants learn basic

grammar, vocabulary and phrases which they can use during

traveling abroad in order to communicate their basic needs in

places such as train stations, bus stations, taxis, airports, hotels,

restaurants, bars, shops, supermarkets, museums, banks, etc.

English for Work & Life

Summer Course, (four 90 min sessions per week = total 48 hrs).

English for work and Life is a Business and general English course. It

is for learners who want to develop their English skills for their

work , social and travel needs, and therefore reflects the work-life

balance of busy working adults.

English Intensive Course

Summer Course, all Language Levels, 8 weeks (five 4-hrs sessions

per week = total 160 hrs).

The English Language Intensive Course is designed for students or

adults who wish to learn (or improve) their English language skills

Start your language program as scheduled at Mesoyios College.

* In case the visa application is declined, we will refund the paid fee excl. an

administration fee of EUR 50 up to 4 working days prior to arrival (only after receipt

of written proof of embassy‘s denial). After that, our cancellation policy applies.

Mesoyios College reserves the right to cancel a language program if the

minimum number of participants in a group is not completed. In such case all

paid fees are returned to applicants.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT

The College wishes to support students who experience financial hardship, and commits to examine each case with its relevant documentation, individually.

Such support may include but not limited to the following:

Thirty percent (30%) down payment of the annual academic and other fees and 8 equal monthly instalments

Student Loans to cover academic and accommodation expesnes*

* For special occasions and subject to special financial agreement

Further Mesoyios College provides written guarantee for paid internship* or job placement* to all enrolled students during the summer months of each academic year from which they earn average €500 per month, according to the nature of academic program and progress in studies.

* In order for Non-European students to be eligible to work in Cyprus as students,

should complete minimum 6 months (two semesters) of study.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Partial Scholarships are also available and may be awarded based on academic merit and athletic achievements:

Based on previous academic performance

Students, in their first year at the College, are eligible for a scholarship on the basis of the grades of their High School Leaving Certificate, based on the country in which the qualification was issued.

Students who wish to transfer credits on the basis of their Bachelor’s Degree, Higher Diploma or Diploma, will have the scholarship considered in accordance with this qualification. Awards are given as a percentage reduction on the tuition.

Based on Academic Performance at the College

Two regular semesters after the student first registers and every semester thereafter, scholarships will be awarded according to the student’s academic performance at the College.

In order to be eligible for this type of scholarship, students must have:

Completed minimum 60 ECTS at the College, and

Been registered in the previous semester

These scholarships are given based on the general grade on the certificate.

If the purpose of residing in the Republic of Cyprus is for studying at a Private or Public Educational Establishment accredited or financed by the Republic, including vocational training courses:

(a) Valid Passport or identity card and copies of the same.

(b) Proof of enrolment to study at a Private or Public Educational Establishment accredited or financed by the Republic, including vocational training courses - Registration Letter.

(c) Proof of comprehensive health insurance cover in the Republic - European Health Card.

(d) Declaration or other equivalent means, as the applicants may choose, to assure that they have sufficient resources for themselves and their family in order not to become a burden on the social assistance system of Cyprus during their period of residence. Declaration need to be stamped with Apostille stamp.

(e) Two passport sized photographs.

APPLICATION & REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

NON-EU STUDENTS


In order to complete the application and registration procedure, non-EU students should follow the following steps:

STEP 1

STEP 2

After we review student’s application, the student will receive a Conditional or Unconditional Acceptance Letter.

STEP 3

The student should proceed with the VISA issuance procedure Blue Slip – Entry Permit and after entry in Cyprus for Pink Slip – Residence Visa.

All documents should have an Apostille stamp, by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or Ministry of Justice, and a stamp by the Consulate of Cyprus in the country of residence (where an Embassy or Consulate of Cyprus doesn’t exist, student should send documents to the nearest country with Embassy or Consulate of Cyprus for verifications and stamps as well to the embassy of the country of origin in the same country where is the nearest Cyprus Embassy).

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR THE ISSUE OF VISA / ENTRY PERMIT – Blue Slip

(a) Duly certified copy of passport or other travel document, with a validity of:

(i) at least the expected duration of studies

(ii) at least two years

(b) In cases of minors, duly certified parental approval of the suggested residence, with official translation in Greek or English.

(c) Duly certified original certificate of criminal record from the official authorities of the country of residence with official translation in Greek or English.

(d) Duly certified original medical examinations for Hepatitis B and C, AIDS/HIV, Syphilis and report of chest X-ray for Tuberculosis from country of origin with validity of four months. Stamped and signed by a Government Doctor. The medical certificate should not exceed the 4 months after the date of the medical examination.

(e) Acceptance letter from an Educational Institution, in order to register to a program of studies, including a description of the specific program of studies and its duration.

(f) Receipt of payment of registration fees to the Educational Institution.

(g) Duly certified original of confirmation letter from a Banking Institution(not older than 6 months) in his country of residence, of his financial ability to cover tuition fees, living and repatriation expenses or duly certified confirmation letter of scholarship - 7000 EURO, issued by the awarding institution, if this is in his country of residence. The certificate from the banking institution should be accompanied by an account statement with minimum balance the amount of 7000 euros in the last month before the application submission. All the non-official papers submitted by the students need to bear the contact details of the organization/ bank, including the names of the officers/employees who have issued them as well as their telephone numbers.

(h) Certified copies of academic qualifications.

After obtaining all the necessary documents (signed and stamped), the student should go to the Consulate of Cyprus of the country of residence to stamp all the above documents. Then the student should post all those documents to us and we will forward all the student’s documents to the Migration in Cyprus.

Upon Arrival to Cyprus:

At the airport student be obliged to show to the Official of the Immigration Authorities the Cash 2600 USD / 2000 Euro. During their arrival in the Republic, the aliens who were granted an

Entry VISA, should have in their possession:

A copy of the Entry Visa Passport The amount of 2600 USD or 2000 EUR in cash.

STEP 4

As soonest student received entry visa-Blue Slip, the student should proceed with:

(a) Duly certified copy of passport or other travel document, with a validity of:

(b) Proof of comprehensive health insurance in the Republic.

(c) Original medical examinations for Hepatitis B and C, AIDS/HIV, Syphilis and report of chest X-ray for Tuberculosis from Cyprus stamped and signed by government doctor with validity of four months.

(d) Confirmation form a Banking Institution in the Republic that the applicant has transferred sufficient funds to his personal account to cover tuition fees, accommodation and living expenses (5000 EUR)for the period that the residence permit is applied for.

(e) Personal Bank Guarantee for repatriation expenses,€342 Arab Countries, €513 Middle East Countries / Mediterranean Non EU Countries, €855 Asia Countries/African Countries )-refundable - returned upon graduation - paid by the student.

(f) Two Passport-sized photographs.

STEP 5

The documents of the countries that have signed the Hague Convention 1961 need to bear the Apostille stamp and not any other authentication.

It is noted that the Apostille stamp does not need any translation.

In cases that the country where the document has been issued has not signed The Hague Convention 1961, then the document will be accepted if it has a stamp from the country’s Ministry of Exterior. The stamp will then need to be authenticated by the Diplomatic mission of the country in the Republic or the one which is accredited in the Republic or the Diplomatic mission of the Republic in the particular country or the one which is accredited in that country.

The documents, in order to be accepted, need to be translated in Greek or English from the Press and Information Office (P.I.O) or from a certified translator who shall furnish an affidavit from the court. In case where the translation is produced by a translator in the country of origin of the document it is necessary to certify the translation in the same way that is indicated in paragraph (a) or in the above paragraph (b).

It is clarified that, based on certain bilateral agreements, documents from Russia and Serbia are exempted from the requirement of any certification/validation provided that they are properly signed and bear the official stamp of the competent authority that issues them.

For the NON PUBLIC DOCUMENTS (e.g. bank certificate) the procedure is as follows:

Bank Certificate: It is certified by a Notary Public and then his/her signature is certified by the competent authority of the country, followed by the Ministry of Exterior, and followed by the Diplomatic/ Consular validation.

In relation to the validation by the Diplomatic/Consular authorities of the Republic of the non-public documents which is proven that the Ministries of Exterior in the countries of origin do not validate, it has been decided the continuation of the provisional type of procedure as follows:

The bank certificate will be validated by a Notary Public and will be submitted to the Consular Authority or the Honorary Consul of the Republic, in the country of origin, for the appropriate control.

A copy of the passport of Pakistan and Egypt will be validated by the Consular Authority or the Honorary Consul of the Republic in the country of origin, after the passport and the relevant copy are provided.

NON-EU STUDENTS


ADMISSION POLICY STATEMENT

Mesoyios College adheres to a policy of non-discrimination in admitting students without reference to race, colour, religion, gender, disability or national origin. The College students come mainly from Cyprus but also from many parts of the world, blending a diverse range of academic backgrounds, experiences, special interests, talents and cultural heritage.

Admission to the College is granted under different categories depending on the student's qualifications and educational objectives. The College admissions policy relies on the student's past record, including high school grades. However, proficiency in English is required for all degree programs taught in English and students will be required to take an English Placement Test if they do not possess any of the above recognized English qualifications. For certain programs, which are taught in Greek, students may be required to take a Greek Placement Test.

ACCOMMODATION We provide a wide selection of accommodation types at the Mesoyios College Campus, for full-time registered students on a 38-weeks contract basis.

We also aim to provide a good standard of accommodation throughout all of our properties, with accommodation rates starting from 150* euro per month.
