Welcome to UCKG HelpCentre. We’re not about airs and graces or trying to impress anyone. What you see is what you get. We’re a down-to-earth Christian church that believes anyone’s life, no matter how bad, can be changed for the better. In fact, not just changed but transformed.

People who come to us are from all sorts of backgrounds and that’s the way we like it. We have helped millions of people achieve a trans-formation in their lives, and we will welcome you whoever you are and whatever you may have been in the past.

The UCKG is located throughout different parts of Asia and is affiliat-ed with churches that work in over 100 countries worldwide. It is open everyday ready to help those in need.

We know that there are problems that seem insurmountable – prob-lems that you may have tried to solve but couldn’t no matter how hard you tried. We at the Universal Church, are here to help guide you to the power that you need to over-come the struggles of your life.

The source of all answers is in God, but the way to find your answer is not a preset formula or a

simplistic generalization. Each of us with our unique lives needs to find God on a very personal, individual level. Though everything that is taught at UCKG is based on the Bible and its unchanging truths, the pastors and prayer counselors are aware of the fact that you may need one-on-one counseling time to talk about, and work through your specific concerns.

Counseling is available both before and after each service, and also throughout the week by appoint-ment. For women who prefer to counsel with other women, the pastors’ wives and women prayer counselors are also available. Each church service is geared to helping you know God and have a faith that moves mountains. You will be encouraged to come sincerely to God to open up your heart and develop a relationship with Him. You’ll also learn how to fight back against the negativity that you feel is blocking your life in any way.

Walk in the door and you can expect a warm welcome by people who genuinely care about you and are determined to help you succeed in life.

CHARITY WORK

The Patient Care Group is comprised of men and women who visit patients and those who are housebound on a voluntary basis. They aim to help alleviate suffering both spiritually and physically.

PRISON VISITS

HOSPITAL & HOME VISITS

The volunteers visit people regularly on any day of the week, and anoint and pray for them according to the Word of God that says: “Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the

church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with Oil in the name of the Lord.” (James 5:14)

They are also there to lend a sympathetic ear to the person’s problems.

The Rescue of Dignity Group (ROD) group was established with the aim of supporting prison inmates throughout Asia, like in Hong Kong, Macau and Philippines for example, both spiritually and physically, through letter writing and regular visits.

In many cases, it has been found that when inmates develop a faith and commitment towards God, they are empowered with

higher self-esteem and their attitude towards themselves and others improves considerably. Many are ready to abandon a life of crime and embrace the concept of being better citizens in society.

Several inmates that ROD has been dealing with have been released or have had their sentences reduced due to changed behaviour and attitude within prison.

Referrals to ROD can either be via self or family/friends. All volunteer workers are assigned to write and visit individual prisoners.

I wanted to die... I was sick and had nothing...

hen I was 14, I had a serious

girlfriend but we ended breaking up; I couldn’t accept it and became all the more depressed. I began think-ing the only way out of all

my problems, to finally put an end to every-thing, was to literally put an end to my life. I wanted to kill myself.

Today, I am still alive because I was able to get real help at the UCKG HelpCentre. I decided to attend the YPG (Youth Power Group) Meetings and learned to get rid of negative thoughts and low self-esteem.

From then on I started to have peace in my life. I have no more suicidal thoughts and I am no longer depressed. Today I have self-confi-dence and believe my future is bright.

are picking a fight with the root of your problems, and negative forces will try to stop you from completing the Chain, but no matter what happens, DO NOT BREAK IT! Be serious about this. It would be better not to start a Chain than to start and not finish.

It’s up to you

A Chain of Prayer is a biblical strategy for conquering blessings: God delivered His people from the Egyptians with 10 plagues; He told Joshua to march around Jericho 13 times; the prophet Elijah prayed for rain 7 different times. It works! It has worked for thousands of people just like you and it will also work for you. No matter how big your problem is, a Chain of Prayer will help you overcome. In fact, being faithful to a Chain of Prayer is proof of your faith to God. It’s time to declare war against your problems. Have you had ENOUGH of suffering? If so, start your Chain of Prayer at your nearest Universal Church this

week!

Important

Before you start a Chain of Prayer, you should get the pastor’s or assistant’s advice. They will teach you, step by step, how to use your faith to overcome your problems. If you are attacked with doubt or confusion, or if your faith gets weak, do not hesitate to ask for help. Don’t be shy. One word of advice can prove to be invaluable, even more than a prayer. Just like a doctor gives you a series of treatments and monitors your progress until you are completely healed, our aim is to help you through your problems until you are strong enough to use your own faith and no longer need to depend on a pastor’s prayers. The essence of a Chain of Prayer is to teach you to be indepen-dent, to depend on yourself and God alone!

What is it?

A Chain of Prayer is when you attend a prayer meeting for a certain number of weeks without interruption in order to see a breakthrough in your life. Whether it is healing, a financial breakthrough or spiritual deliverance that you need, a Chain of Prayer helps you develop the faith and determination to overcome. Before starting a Chain you will need to decide what you want to fight for, and then decide the day, or days, that you will make your chain. A requirement to making a Chain of Prayer is that you attend a Sunday service every week.

Learning to release your faith

When a person makes a Chain of Prayer their faith is encouraged, awakened and prepared to take possession of God’s promises. But due to the seriousness of their problems, some are so overwhelmed and worried

that they find it hard to use their faith in the first prayer meeting they attend. Though it does happen, only a few receive what they want on their very first visit. One prayer is not enough. Even Jesus taught us to pray always and never give up (Luke 18.1).
