Academics

All academic classes are at the college

preparatory level. Same curriculum as the High School

Extra focus on elements that pertain you your chosen

s op. MCAS Testing in 10th grade

Must score in the Proficient range to graduate.

Support and extra time is spent to prepare for testing.

Upon the satisfactory completion of Grade12, you are awarded a high school diplomaand a Vocational School Trade Certificate.

Vocational Technical Training

The opportunity to work with your hands and

learn a trade. Build your experiences and learn skills that

will last throughout your lifetime.

Gain a step up on the average high schoolstudent by being able to hold a co-op jobduring your senior year.

Earn a standardized Certificate ofProficiency from the state board ofeducation. Show that you have attained the same level of

competencies as students in your field across the

Vocational Technical Training

Academics and Shop time: Freshman year:

Students rotate and explore the shops throughout theyear in order to make a good decision on the one thatfits them best.

Sophomore year: Students attend academic classes throughout the

morning and shop classes in the afternoon.

Junior and Senior year:

Students alternate between a week in academics and aweek in shop.

This gives students more time in the shop to build theircompetency in the area.

Co-operative Employment is available to eligibleSeniors.

How to Apply

Applications are available on-line or from the

MVTHS Guidance Department.

Students and Parents fill out the Application forAdmission and submit it to your current guidance

counselor. Your grades, attendance, conduct, and a

recommendation from your guidance counselor

are all taken into consideration when you apply. If you are interested, APPLY!
