Medical

Period should return about 4-6 weeks after the abortion

Emotional

Young women is associated with increased risk of major depression, anxiety disorder, & suicidal behaviors

After abortion, women may experience anger, flashback, guilt, grief & relationship problems

Abortion reported more frequent problems sleeping, more frequent marijuana use, & psychological counseling when compared to who give birth

Physical

The center of Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) have received report of the deaths of 386 women from legal abortion between 1973

Physical complications include injury, bleeding, serious infection, pain, & incomplete abortion

Since 2000 at least 8 women had died from Ru-486 due to hemorrhage & infection

Cost

In 2009 the median charge for a surgical abortion at 10 weeks gestation was $470

Since most U.S women obtain abortions at facilities with lower charges, the average amount paid was $451
