Emeritus Member*
A person who has been an ordinary and/or a resident member and who voluntarily retired from practice or has ceased to practice due to ill health or otherwise.

Student Members*
Any person who is studying law, or who has successfully completed a course in law, at any university, college or institution in New South Wales recognized by the Legal Profession Admission Board and who signifies an intention to practice as a solicitor and who is not eligible to become a member under any other category of membership.
