ABCs of Famous Marylanders
ABCs of Famous Marylanders
Task
Your task is to research a famous Marylander. Each student will be assigned a different letter of the alphabet. The letter of the alphabet you are assigned will be a letter in either the first, middle or last name of a famous Marylander. You will write a short report about your famous Marylander and type it on Microsoft Word. You will also draw a picture of your famous Marylander.
Where will you get your information?
To learn about your famous Marylander, you should go to the slide in this PowerPoint show with his or her name on it. On that slide there will be one or more websites to visit about your Marylander. You may also look in "Our Maryland: America in Miniature" for information. Be sure to take notes as you read. YOU MAY NOT COPY ANY INFORMATION WORD FOR WORD INTO YOUR REPORT.
What should you include in your report?• Your report should be one paragraph in
length. Paragraphs always include a topic sentence, details, and a concluding sentence.
• You should include your famous Marylander's birth date, death date (or if he or she is still alive, say so), and what he or she is famous for.
