As a non-profit organization, the AAEVT relies on (in addition to membership) corporate sponsorship for financial support. These sponsorships serve to support programs such as continuing education meetings, membership benefits, scholarships, newsletters/media

production and website maintenance.

Thank you to all of our sponsors for their generous support. We also want to acknowledge all of the practitioners and practices who donate

their time and their practice to make our meetings a success!

This program provides basic to advanced education on the core competencies for students, equine veterinary assistants or veterinary technicians. Coursework is self-paced. Along with online courses, participants must show proficiency in a list of clinic skills, and they must attend an AAEVT-sanctioned continuing education event, which includes a wet lab and evaluation of horsemanship skills. The entire program can be completed within approximately six months, and those who receive their certificates of completion are recognized as AAEVT Certified Equine Veterinary Technicians/Assistants (“AEVT” or “AEVA”) depending on their current status.
