Day 1 Arrive in CharlestonWelcome to Charleston! Make your way to our hotel and then head out to explore. Perhaps take a leisurely stroll past some of Charleston's collection of beautifully restored homes including: Heywood Washington House, Joseph Manigault House and the Nathaniel Russell House to name a few. Tonight, gather with your Local Leader and fellow travelers before heading out for dinner at a local restaurant. (D)Meeting Street Inn, Charleston (3 nights)

Day 2 CharlestonCulinary delights are abundant in this charming city, and a foodie tour is a must. We’ll be led with our Insider Expert to get the best local suggestions and samples of foods including stone-ground grits, prawns, and South Carolina barbecue. Tonight, peek into Charleston’s shadowy history with a chilling nighttime walking tour of the city’s most eerie sites! Wind through the dark corridors of the Historic District and hear spooky tales of graveyard hauntings, voodoo and botched burials from your local guide. Pass by infamous locations with grisly histories and wander through Charleston’s oldest cemetery after hours. (B)

Day 3CharlestonToday, see Charleston from another view – the water! Explore Charleston Harbor by boat with a leisurely sightseeing tour along the Cooper River to Fort Sumter National Monument. This fully-narrated tour focuses on Charleston's history from Civil War sites and landmarks, passes under Cooper River bridges, and explores a waterfront that’s home to bottlenose dolphins and pelicans. Return to land for a quintessential Charleston experience – a horse carriage ride through the Commercial District and Waterfront Park. The rest of the evening is yours to explore. (B)

Day 4Charleston to SavannahToday, make your way to the Hostess City of the South, Savannah. Upon arrival, enjoy time to explore the city on your own. Or, if you prefer, take a stroll through the City Market district, filled with shops, art galleries, and the occasional local musician. This is the perfect spot to catch a bite of the local cuisine.
