They will be discussing the high points of their 2015 season, showing video clips of some of their most exciting kills, and answering your questions. In addition to their presentations, the Benoits make themselves available all weekend long for one-on-one discussions. Benoit Brothers Mark Manske established Adirondack Raptor Inc. in 2008 and is the sole owner of the company. He was a public school educator for 27 years, an Adjunct Professor at Paul Smiths College from 2007 to 2012, a wildlife rehabilitator from 1994 through 2002, a master falconer since 2003, a master raptor bander since 1988, and a licensed nuisance wildlife control agent from 2008 through 2012. Mark has also published stories in his column in the EMBARK, a periodical that is published every other month by the Adirondack Daily Enterprise in Saranac Lake. He has published several articles on birds of prey in scientific journals through the years. Mark trained under the tutelage of Drs. Frederick and Frances Hamerstrom (graduate students of Aldo Leopold and world renowned biologists) in the early 1980s at the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point. Live Birds of Prey Demonstrations Captain Matt Trombley holds a 100 Ton USCG Master Captains lic, is a New York Lic guide & a member of the Vermont Outdoor Guide Assoc. He is a career Firefighter by trade, working for the City of Burlington VT Fire Dept for eighteen years. Matt is the owner & operator of 3rd Alarm Charters & Guide Service, offering Group Charters on Lake Champlain, Ontario & The Hudson River, along with drift boat trips on the Salmon River & many smaller bodies of water in Vermont. Matt has grown up hunting & fishing the Woods & Waters of Vermont & New York & has been guiding for ten years. Matt is versed at Trolling tactics for Trout, Salmon & Striped Bass, casting & fly fishing for Bass, Pike & steelhead & spends over 200 days a year on the Lake & Rivers of his business offerings! Captain Matt Trombley Ken Hammel grew up in Altoona Pennsylvania and has been a whitetail hunting fanatic since the age of 12. He has 30 years of experience hunting the North American whitetail deer, in fact in 10 consecutive deer seasons he harvested bucks scoring 130 to 189 7/8inches on the Boone and Crockett Gross scale. He also has harvested three Giant Whitetails scoring over 170 inches, all on public land where anyone can hunt. Ken is a nationally known caller and hunter. His expertise in hunting the whitetail deer has allowed him to be successful in the many States and Canadian Provinces that he hunts. He has harvested over 100 whitetails in his lifetime, 70 percent of them being bucks. His knowledge on how to rattle in the big North American whitetail deer is second to none. He has rattled, called, and used scents in order to be successful time and time again. The Vermont Big Game Trophy Club is a non-profit organization and utilizes a network of volunteer measureers throughout the state to measure trophies and forward this information to the VBGTC offices for inclusion in their records keeping program. Jim grew up in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont and has had a passion for hunting since he was a child. Over the last 20 years Jim has devoted much of his hunting time towards the hunting of Black Bears. Jim has been successful in harvesting Black bears in Vermont and Canada. Jim’s primary method of hunting is from the ground with Archery tackle.
