A2 Art at Beaumont

Tuesday … Essay SupportIt is really important that you keep up to date with your Essay as it counts towards your final grade.

Every Tuesday Miss May or Miss Findlay will check through your essay… so you MUST make sure you bring your draft with you every Wednesday.

This will help and support you with your progress.

•1000 word draft of essay

•Spider Diagram/Mood board

•4 double pages of observational drawing

•At least 4 double pages of artist research. This must include transcriptions and good quality images of the artists work- ALL ANNOTATED.

September…30th SeptemberThis must all be completed by…

•At least 4 sustained large A1 drawings, this can be mixed media (collage etc)

•At least one set of good photographs(some mounted and some in your sketchbook)

-At least one Gallery Visit

•Experimentation (eg..photoshop, scratching, drawing, cutting, transferring, wax and reassembling)

•A completed first draft (max 3000) of the essay

October…

4th NovemberThis must all be completed by….

•Completed Essay with illustrations, comprehensive bibliography and illustration list

•Continue researching individual project theme, such as primary images and resources, artist research and media experimentations.

November…

2nd DecemberThis must all be completed by….

6 double pages of idea generations, each annotated fully with media testing for each idea.

(You must use this time to experiment with a variety of materials.)

December…

6th JanuaryThis must all be completed by….

•Double page (at least) on final idea with annotated adjustments, if any, from first ideas.

•Detailed evaluation of media to be used.

•Detailed planning of making, including where materials/media can be sourced, dimensions and format to be presented in.

•Plan of how final piece will be presented.

•Completion of final piece and evaluation.
