Meet Growing Bandwidth Requirements of SubscribersInternet traffic patterns changing – subscribers demanding higher throughputCompetition from incumbent DSL and cable servicesCapacity limitations due to increasing bandwidth requirements

Investment in Legacy WaveRider Network ProtectedEUM3005 and EUM3006 modems can work with OFDM CCU8000RF antenna subsystems and band pass filters do not have to be exchanged or upgraded

Superior Capacity and PerformanceOperating at the same GoS levels – a CCU8000 can deploy as many as 3 times more EUM8000 units as a CCU3100 servicing EUM3005 or EUM3006Ability to support higher throughput will enable network operator to service businesses and consumers who require higher bandwidth and are willing to pay for it.

WaveRider LMS8000 Upgrade Path

Page 6: A-Z of Wireless Broadband Applications

CCU8000 can support OFDM modem (EUM8000) as well as the legacy modems (EUM3005/EUM3006/MMT9000)

Customers with EUM3000, EUM3003 or EUM3004 will need to be upgraded to either a newer CCK modem (EUM3005/EUM3006)If they need higher speeds they should be upgraded to an EUM8000

CCU3100/CCU3000 cannot support OFDM modems

CCK Modem Performance (EUM3005/EUM3006/MMT9000) does not improve in the LMS8000 infrastructure – max throughput remains 2 Mbps

Compatibility application notes will be posted on the Vecima/WaveRider website
