1 DECEMBER, 2012 Is the anticipation unbearable yet? It is for us at NJTV! Downton Abbey Season 3 returns to American audiences in January, and we cannot wait for the drama, romantic intrigues, and personal crises that are synonymous with the Crawley family name. In preparation for the Season 3 premiere, Downton Abbey Revisited pulls together the greatest moments from the series’ first two seasons, along with cast interviews, rare behind-the-scenes footage, and a sneak peek at what’s in store for the Crawleys as they enter the Roaring Twenties. DOWNTON ABBEY REVISITED A YEAR TO REMEMBER The holidays are a time for reflection – and NJTV has much to reflect on this year. NJTV celebrated its one-year anniversary as New Jersey’s public television network in July. Our ever- growing schedule includes Jersey-centric programming like Driving Jersey, Tales of the Jersey Shore, and Best Places to Live, all of which showcase the best that the Garden State has to offer. NJ Docs premiered this March, featuring the work of talented student filmmakers from across the state. NJTV’s weeknight news program, NJ Today, featured thoughtful coverage and conversation about state issues that affect us all, reporting from across the state North to South. We offered live coverage and special reports of key political events throughout the year, including the State of the State Address, state budget hearings, Supreme Court nominee hearings, the Republican and Democratic National Conventions and election night. When Hurricane Sandy and the nor’easter hit in November, our news crew also worked tirelessly on-air and online to keep citizens updated with vital information and live coverage of the Governor’s press conferences. We’ve been there for you this year, and you, in turn, have been there for us. When proposed public television funding cuts took center stage during the first presidential debate, tens of thousands of you in the region spoke up online and through social media to tell us how much public television means to you. And your contributions throughout this year have helped us create the programs of consequence that we present on air and online each and every day. As we look ahead to the new year, everyone at NJTV continues to be committed to providing New Jersey with exceptional programming and community service. Thank you for making it all possible.
