Christianity, Buddhist, Islam, Hinduism and Judaism

Christianity The world’s largest religion with about

2.2 billion followers. It is based on the teachings of Jesus Christ and is 2,000 years old.

Buddhism Buddhism was started around 2,500

years ago in India. It has about 350 million followers around the world.

Islam Islam began in the early 600s and is the

second largest religion with over 1000 million followers. It is more a way of life than a religion.

Hinduism Hinduism has around 750 million

followers around the world. Hinduism is about 4000 years old and is practiced by more than 80% of India.

Judaism Judaism is over 3,800 years old and

followers are Jewish. There are 12 million Jews and most live in the United States and Israel.
