Teledyne Impulse-PDM mouldings are produced in synthetic resins and elastomers for many applications including high voltage terminations, precision components and other demanding product specifications. Encapsulated transducer elements and arrays requiring specific mechanical, electrical and acoustic properties from the encapsulant are manufactured to customer specification. Advice is available on special elastomer formulations for acoustic windows and absorbers. TI-PDM vacuum encapsulate units such as pipeline inspection modules which operate at pressures up to 5800psi. Development work can be undertaken to enable production of multi-part mouldings where specifi c encapsulant properties are required for di� erent parts of the assembly. This form of construction often results in a lower cost product with improved properties. With TI-PDM’s involvement in the connectors it is frequently possible to satisfy customer needs in all areas of sensor/cable/connector termination, moulding & encapsulation.
Quality control of all materials and processes is achieved through company standards, specifi cations and quality procedures. Extensive experience in elastomer encapsulation and mould design allows excellent service with a very quick response. All design, manufacturing and stockist activities are carried out under BS EN ISO 9001:2000 in TI-PDM’s facilities at Alton, Hampshire.
