Abstract
The purposes of this research were to synthesize the research results on
stress management models for life crisis through content analysis and meta-
analysis. The sample consisted of 26 graduate research that were published
between 1997 and 2015. The result of content analysis found three types of
definitions of stress meaning found response meaning (66%) interaction
meaning (27%) stimulus meaning (7%). Two types of life crisis were life crisis
in body (88%) and life crisis in mind (12%). Three stress management models
for life crisis were stress management model for life crisis in mix type (43%)
stress management model for life crisis in body (29%) and stress management
model for life crisis in mind (29%). Methods for stress management model for
life crisis in mix type included two types: 1) methods for stress management
model for life crisis in body and mind were qigong yoga etc. 2) methods for
stress management model for life crisis in body mind and Wisdom were Muscle
Relaxation Meditation and Mind control etc. Methods of stress management
model for life crisis in body were: touch massage muscle relaxation sueng dance
etc. Methods of stress management model for life crisis in mind were: meditation
listen to relaxing music etc. Meta – analysis results found stress management
model for life crisis in body (= -2.36) stress management model for life crisis
in mind (= -2.42) and stress management model for life crisis in mix type (= - 2.97) were the same result. Use the highest mean effect size of stress
management model for life crisis was stress management in mix type to develop
stress management of life crisis for older adults.
