2019 CHRISTMAS PARADE RELEASE

As an entrant in the 2019 Farmville Jaycees Christmas Parade, we are aware that our entry may be photographed/recorded by amateur and professional photographers/videographers along the parade route. We hereby grant to The Farmville Jaycees the right to use the photographs of our entry or any likeness thereof in the pursuit of its promotional efforts and waive any rights to compensation for this use in perpetuity.

I agree, for all participants in this parade entry and hereby release, indemnify and hold harmless, The Farmville Jaycees, its planning committee, sponsors, and volunteers from all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action whatsoever, arising out of our participation in the 2019 Farmville Jaycees Christmas Parade.

2019 CHRISTMAS PARADE RULES

All participants are responsible for their entry and those participating with regard to their entry. All participants are responsible for their good conduct throughout this event as well as those participating with them in conjunction with their entry. This shall include all laws, rules, ordinances, administrative regulations, individual registry requirements, and instructions from police and parade officials. Failure to do so may constitute grounds for immediate removal and/or discontinuance of participation.

1. The Farmville Jaycees Parade Committee reserves the right to accept or decline any entry. 2. The Parade Committee will secure Santa Claus for the parade. No other Santas are allowed to participate. 3. The Parade Committee reserves the right to withdraw any unit of which costume or performance does not meet the

Christmas parade rules and regulations or conform to the standards of reasonable public taste and/or fit the parade theme.

4. Judged entries must reflect the theme chosen by the parade committee, “A Superhero Christmas.” Judges will evaluate the entry’s interpretation of the parade theme.

5. You are responsible for collecting and removing your own trash before the parade begins. 6. Candy cannot be thrown to the crowd. However, candy may be handed out to attendees by walking alongside

your entry. 7. No entries will be allowed to stop on the parade route unless instructed by a police officer or parade official. You

must keep the parade moving at all times and must maintain a distance of two car lengths between you and the entry ahead of you.

8. No vehicles are to spin tires while participating in the parade. No constant revving of engines as this drowns out announcements and others' music and could possibly spook the animals. However, occasional revving is acceptable.

To participate in the Farmville Jaycees Christmas Parade, you must consent to the release and rules and sign below: Signature: __________________________________________ Date: __________________________
