AIR FRESHENER Air Fresheners have become a staple in many homes

and offices, marketed with the promises of creating a clean, healthy and sweet-smelling indoor atmosphere.

But many of these products contain “phthalates” hazardous chemicals known to cause hormonal abnormalities, birth defects, and reproductive problems.

WHAT IS PHTHALATES?

Phthalates are used in many consumer products- to soften plastics in children’s toys as sealants and adhesives in nail polish and in perfumes and air fresheners.

EFFECTS OF PHTHALETES

When people use air fresheners, the phthaletes are released into the air, where they may be inhaled or

may land on the skin and be absorbed.

And other health problems like: Respiratory problems, asthma attacks, nausea, loss of appetite, etc….

ALTERNATIVES TO AIR FRESHENER

The best solution is to open windows to bring in fresh air or to use fans to maintain air circulation.

Simmer spices.

Odour obsorbers.

PLASTIC TOYS

Certain plastics are known to contain toxic chemicals which gave negative impacts on human health.

Young childrens are also at greater risk since they often insert plastic objects into their mouths.

Baby bottles, sippy cups, teething rings, and toys are often made with phthalates and bisphenol A (BPA).

Bisphenol A can leach from polycarbonate plastic and act as a harmone distrupter.

EFFECTS OF PLASTIC TOYS

• Endocrine disruption that can cause cancers, birth defects, immune system damages,etc..

• Changes in fetal development, malfunctioning hormones, are also results of BPA ingestion.

ALTERNATIVES

People select plastic toys to their kids because:

They are good-looking & automated.

Plastic toys are cheaper.

Instead of using plastic toys, wooden toys are more safer to the kids.

ADVANTAGES OF WOODEN TOYS

• Wooden toys are more durable as compare to plastic toys.

• Wooden toys will stay intact for long time.

• Wooden toys have more quality,creativity, and inspiration.

WOODEN TOYS ARE SAFER:

• Plastic toys can give potiential toxicity and multiple hazards.

• Wooden toys are more safer to the kids as compare to the plastic toys.

• Wooden toys are not looking good as plastic toys…!

• They have less glitz and glamour.

• But we can’t deny the fact that they are safe and non dangerous to our kids.
