Studies show that although students are registered in schools and their participation in the system is ensured,a certain proportion is unable to complete the compulsory programme due to a range of reasons and ultimately drop out of the compulsory school programme.

There are three main reasons in Turkey for drops-out. One of the important factor linked to social, cultural and family-based conditionsis the language . Especially in the Eastern part of Turkey, the children who have dropped out of school do not speak Turkish at home.Another reasons such as economic difficulties, child labor, distance to school, discouragement, family neglect, discrimination and social restrictions against girls.

However the numbers of these kind of jobs that do not require educational qualifications have been decreasing day by day as we are at the heart of globalization. So in Turkey, it is inevitable to see some progresses in drop-outs. They have been aware of this fact and also they can easily reach at information because of technology.
