Power Outlets
The black power outlets are connected to the light sensor which make them function as an occupancy sensor as well. The white power outlets are standard outlets and are recommended for main use.
Informatics Space Policy:
Space Types & Reservation Policies
Unassigned Work Spaces – First come, first serve. Collaboration Rooms – Advanced scheduling directly via Outlook. Collaboration Spaces (Informal) - First come, first serve. Grad Student Space – Reserved for Informatics Cluster Students and IGPI Students.
Workspaces facing windows are unassigned and workspaces facing away from windows may be assigned upon request by supervising faculty to [email protected].
Faculty Offices – Reserved for Informatics cluster faculty, cluster faculty collaborators, and affiliates working on strategic projects. Cluster faculty can book directly via Outlook. Others may request space by emailing [email protected]. Space is limited so please only reserve the times you need.
Staff Offices – Reserved for Informatics staff. Contact [email protected] for availability.
General Space Policies
Informatics reserves the right to block any spaces if required. Keys are available for Faculty and Staff Offices. To request -

The technology available in all the collaboration rooms is a Windows PC, HDMI for your laptop, big TV screen, Apple TV, microphone and video camera (for Skype/video conferencing).

Install Informatics Printers For MacOS
MODEL: Toshiba e-STUDIO 3055cROOM: N533IP ADDRESS: 172.30.22.15
First download the drivers
A. For the Toshiba e-STUDIO 3055ca. Go to http://business.toshiba.com/usa/support/index.jspb. Scroll down to Drivers MSDS, & Manualsc. In the field labeled Enter product name, type 3055Cd. Click on search button below ite. Look below heading e-Bridge Current Driversf. Find and click on gz - Mac OSX 10.6 and later, Duplex, Color 05/11/16

g. Download and Install Drivers
Create the printer queue
1. Go to system preference.
2. Click on Printers & Scanners. Click on the Plus Sign.
3. Click on the IP Tab.
4. In the address field type in the IP Address for the printer you want to create a queue for.
5. For the Toshiba e-STUDIO 3055c, type the address 172.30.22.15, then click the
Add Button.
It will look like this when both printers are set up.
Connect to This Printer on Your Windows Laptop
1. Start by connecting to the eduroam wireless network. Your eduroam login is [email protected] with your HawkID password.
2. Open the start menu and type \\iowaprint02\ui3-cphbn533-mfd
a. Windows 7
b. Windows 10
3. Press enter. 4. If prompted for credentials:
a. The user name is iowa\yourHawkID and the password is your HawkID password. Check the box for Remember my credentials.
b. You may receive a dialog box that asks you if you trust this printer. Click on Install driver.
c. To proceed you will either need to be logged in as an administrator or you will need to enter credentials for an account with administrator privileges when prompted again.
5. If the printer name was entered correctly Windows will connect to and install the printer on your laptop.
6. Be sure to select the appropriate printer when ready to print.
Airplay on Windows and Linux
Currently, there is no option to use Airplay or Wifi-connection to the big screen in the room for Windows/Linux machines.
