the Systemall four sat-if ranges of a satellite position are converted into a fre-quency multiplex in the sO lNB and transmitted over a monomode glass fibre (optical fibre) using a 1310nm laser signal. On the subscriber side the back conversion to the normal sat-if position is made by a mDU converter with optical input. preconfigured fibre optic cables and connector-compatible optical splitters complete the „plug & play“ sys-tem. the maximum bridgeable optical budget of 19 dB enables optical distribution on up to 32 optical converters.

in comparison to existing technology, the new generation of scr-multiswitches (scr = satellite channel routing), also known as Unicable 2, offers substantial more frequency bands for more terminal devices / tuners.

also the configuration of these systems has become much easier. With dscr it is possible to pair the multiswitch with the terminal device au-tomatically.

the significant reduced size of these new components makes installing a much simpler process.

Our dscr multiswitches are approved and released by sKy ® for their set-top-Boxes.

Wideband satellite receiving systems are characterized by the fact, that there is only one band with extended frequency range of 290-2340 mHz needed per polarization.

the resulting conflict between the lower sat frequencies and the fre-quencies, which are already occupied by terrestrial and cable-tV, has been solved by dscr-technology.the transponders of the satellite signals are shifted into user bands above the current cable-tV frequency before feeding them into home networks. this allows to combine eg. broadband services from a cable tV operator and satellite reception for tV signal on one coaxial cable.

By using the Wideband-technology you can realize systems with more satellite positions with significantly less requirement for space and wi-ring. also the conversion from 2 into 4 satellite positions is possible without further wiring effort.

to be also prepared for the new 1,2 GHz cable-tV-technology the user bands start above 1280 mHz.

We are focussing on quality from europe similar to the legacy-switches.
