MUTI ONLUS

Muti Onlus is a humanitarian movement for the children’s rights.

Muti Onlus is an independent organization that aims to provide

protection, safety and fundamental rights to the children, as well as

medical care, education and fun.

Muti Onlus has decided to use the game of soccer to help the children

of disadvantaged zones by providing a structured course based on the

game. Which not only provides physical activity, but also the teaching

of the authentic and pure values that make up the game of soccer.

This education runs in conjunction with their day to day school

education.

SOCCER

Soccer is the most popular sport played in the world. It is an

international language uniting people across the world. The power and

the popularity of this sport are extraordinary instruments for social

development.

In many third world countries soccer represents a means of escape

from the daily suffering. The children are able to smile whilst playing

barefoot with makeshift means for a ball.

The objective of Muti Onlus is to contribute to the realization of a

better future for children, using above all, but not only, the force and

the popularity of soccer. This sport being not only a simple and

beautiful game, but a whole lot more:

enjoyment: the game of soccer is an essential instrument of growth

that joins the children during an important stage of their development.

Whilst playing the game the children learn to relate to others in a

correct way forming lasting friendships;

SOCCER

promotion: the game of soccer is a means in which to communicate

information and advice, as well as to encourage the participation in and

promotion of health programs regarding the prevention of diseases;

social integration: soccer provides the feeling of unity through

involvement, joining countries and people all over the world and

promoting social integration without the prejudices of race, sex, religious

faith, cultural or political preferences;

Page 5: A Shoe for a Dream (english)

SOCCER

education: other than being an enjoyable recreational activity, it is

above all an essential educational instrument – the laws of soccer are

applicable to the laws of live;

school of life: soccer is a game that gives joy and serenity to those who

play. For this reason it is important it be practiced in the correct way

respecting fundamental ethical values like fair play, selflessness,

friendship and the respect of the others. Values that will aid and assist

the children in the game of soccer and the life in general.

CHARITY

Poverty, disease, exploitation and ostracism are what plague the poor parts of

the world. The victims are mostly the children. With these factors apparent the

infancy of the children of these places becomes a privilege not a given right.

Muti Onlus comes to the aid of the children found in disadvantaged situations

who live in countries that experience harsh political oppression - social or

economic.

A SHOE FOR A DREAM

“A shoe for a dream” is a project sponsored and supported by the

founders of Muti Onlus and by AIA-FIGC, by Juventus, by Atletico

Madrid, by Cadiz, by Roma, by Lazio, by Fiorentina and by many more

european football team.

The intention is to collect shoes and soccer equipment (balls and

uniforms) to donate to children – those living in family homes, and those

living in orphanages in various African villages.

In developing countries many people live in conditions of absolute

poverty. In these areas, items considered normal within industrialized

countries, are considered a luxury that only few can afford. Many

children do not even have shoes to wear to school. Owning a pair of

shoes to play football is a dream impossible to achieve.

The aim of Muti Onlus is to turn that dream into reality and to enable all

children to play football.

WHERE WE OPERATE

Since 2007 to present we have been brought humanitarian aid and

distributed thousands of soccer shoes, uniforms and footballs to

children housed in orphanages, missions and schools in the poorest

parts of Africa. Through the humanitarian project "A shoe for a

Dream," Muti Onlus has managed to involve more than 7,000

children in 13 different countries. The aim is to use football as an

educational tool to convey fundamental ethical values such as

fairness, altruism, friendship and respect for others, providing a

serene childhood to children a better future away from the pitfalls

road. All projects are developed in collaboration with local

authorities acting on the spot. This will allow children to grow in

their natural environment and ensures a long-term sustainability of

the project.

NEW CENTRE MUTI ONLUS MADAGASCAR

We are going to build a new center Muti Onlus at Diego Suarez in

Madagascar. The aim is to help as many children as possible through the

involvement of local schools and the municipality of the North turning

football into an educational tool to convey to children the most authentic and

pure values of the sport and to encourage them to study (school attendance is

a primary condition required to participate in the project).

We will also set up an educational program through which students can learn

how to prevent the spread of infectious diseases more common in the area.

Particular attention will be paid to the training of trainers educators who

have the delicate task of following the boys.
