God Made Man Out Of The Dust Of The Earth

“And the Lord God formed the man of the dust of the ground,

and breathe into his nostrils the breath of life; and man

became a living soul.” Genesis 2:7

Page 3: A Serious Look At Today's Food and Nutrition

“Our bodies are built from the food we eat. There is a constant breaking down of the tissues of the body; every movement of every organ involves waste, and this waste

is repaired from our food. Each organ of the body requires its share of nutrition. The brain must be supplied with its portion; the bones, muscles, and nerves demand theirs. It is a wonderful process that transforms the food

into blood, and uses this blood to build up the varied parts of the body; but this process is going on continually,

supplying with life and strength each nerve, muscle, and tissue.” Ministry of Healing, p. 295

The human body is made up of twenty-two chemical elements, as follows:

“These elements do not exist in the body in their “free” state, but in organic combinations with each other, and

are variously distributed in the various tissues and fluids of the body. Roughly, they are grouped in our foods as proteins, carbohydrates, hydrocarbons, water, mineral

salts, vitamins, and indigestible portions – bulk or roughage. Each element serves a definite and

indispensible function which no other element can serve for it….It is to supply material with which to carry on

the building up of tissue and replace that which is broken down; in other words, to supply material for

growth and repair, that we eat.” Herbert M. Shelton, The Science and Fine Art of Food and Nutrition ,p. 23-24

Page 9: A Serious Look At Today's Food and Nutrition

A lack of chemical element will weaken the tissue structure and impair the cell function. As a result,

health problems can develop. For example:

•Diabetes: Pancreas cannot properly manufacture insulin due to lack of zinc & chromium.•Tachycardia: Racing of heartbeat due to lack of potassium.•Sluggish liver: Deficient in zinc, selenium, sulfur, and iron .

“Faulty food is the primary cause of

disease.”Dr. G.T. Wrench, London, England

Page 11: A Serious Look At Today's Food and Nutrition

“No food can contribute to health that has been derived from deficient soil, or a deficient plant or animal. A man may be positively satiated with bulk, and still be

malnourished for lack of those food elements essential to the building and

maintenance of the structural integrity of his body, and the development and repair

of its tissues.”

Ehrenfried E. Pfeiffer, M.D.

“The alarming fact is that foods – fruits and vegetables and grains – now raised

on millions of acres of land that no longer contains enough of certain

minerals, are starving us – no matter how much of them we eat.”

U.S. Senate Document No.264

What are some of the causes of the

depletion and deterioration of today’s soil?

Page 14: A Serious Look At Today's Food and Nutrition

Some Causes of the Deterioration and Depletion of Today’s Soil

Acid Rain Artificial Chemical

Fertilizers Chemical “Plant

Foods” Deforestation Erosion No crop rotation

Forest Fires Modern Technology Nuclear Radiation Pesticides Radioactive Elements Toxic Dump or

Industrial Waste Ignoring 7 yr. cycle

Page 15: A Serious Look At Today's Food and Nutrition

“Few realize that the current state of widespread soil erosion in North America threatens our way of life. It may be hard to believe, but only a few inches of

topsoil stand between you, me and starvation….Soil is the medium for all plant life. Topsoil is the rich, nutrient-laden cover of the earth’s crust from which

food crops draw their sustenance”. . .

Page 16: A Serious Look At Today's Food and Nutrition

“By the 1930’s, most of the “cream” had been skimmed off American soils, and diminished crops of mineral-deficient vegetables, fruits, and grains began to appear. Interestingly, chronic, degenerative diseases began to escalate at this time, as well--- arthritis,

diabetes, cancer, lupus, osteoporosis, and dental caries.” Bernard Jensen and Mark

Anderson, Empty harvest, p. 6

Denmark’s Two Dubious World Records, According to J.I. Rodale:

Number One in both its use of artificial fertilizers and its annual suicide. He felt there

was a connection between Denmark’s dead soil and dead people.

Page 18: A Serious Look At Today's Food and Nutrition

“My observations have lead me to conclude that we should understand that people with nutritional deficiencies and toxic accumulations are not just

“less healthy” than other people. We cannot separate the body from the mind or from the

spirit. Any person with impaired wellness at the physical level is, to some degree, impaired

mentally and morally. The mind does not work as well. The strength of will that is so important

in living a life of integrity is lowered.”Bernard Jensen, empty Harvest, p. 7

Page 19: A Serious Look At Today's Food and Nutrition

“The relation that exist between the mind and the body is very intimate. When one is

affected, the other sympathizes. The condition of the mind affects the health to a far greater

degree than many realize.” E. White, Ministry of Healing, p. 241

Page 20: A Serious Look At Today's Food and Nutrition

“In a four year study that sampled over 400 plants from farms from Midwestern America, it was found that mineral levels in

the plants have dropped from between 8% to 68%. Nutritionists, who indicate that foods are not deficient in

vitamins and minerals, are not acquainted with the deterioration of agricultural soils and its effects on food

quality. And because the human stomach is only so bit, a person can not consume enough quantity of low mineral foods to maintain proper health. This is a primary reason for the use of mineral foods to maintain proper health. This is a primary reason for the use of mineral and vitamin supplements. If we

could obtain foods with the proper minerals we would not need the mineral supplements.” A.F. Beddoe, Profiles of Living, p. 17

Page 21: A Serious Look At Today's Food and Nutrition

“Infections and disease are the symptoms of mineral deficiency, not the cause of it”.

“There is not a recognition that we are exhausting the quality of our soils. As we continue to exhaust

the quality of our soils, the quality of our foods will go down. This we are continuing to accept.”

“Healthy soil can have more effect on the health of the world than all the medical institutions in the

world put together.”A.F. Beddoe, Profiles of Living, p. 25

“My people are destroyed for lack of

knowledge.”Hosea 4:6

Page 23: A Serious Look At Today's Food and Nutrition

“Sick soils mean sick plants, sick animals, and sick people. Physical, mental, and moral fitness depends largely upon an ample supply and

proper proportion of minerals in our foods. Nerve function, nerve stability,

nerve cell-building likewise depend thereon.”

Charles Northen, M.D. From Senate Document No. 264

“There is only ONE major cause of disease – and that

is MALNUTRITION.” Dr. C. W. Cavanaugh, Cornell University

Page 25: A Serious Look At Today's Food and Nutrition

When parts of the body break down as a result of malnutrition, it is not only important to

have a balanced nutrition to bring back regeneration but today, because of the degeneration of our soil, it is equally

important to take functional food supplements that are specifically designed to provide much higher concentrations of micro-nutrients that will correct the deficiency at a much faster

rate. Wil A Cor

Vitamin Warning:Vitamin supplement pills have very little chance of

working if they don’t dissolve.SAFETY: Buy only vitamins with the letters “USP,”

which means that they have met US Pharmacopeia standards. In a recent study, five of five USP-labeled vitamin supplements dissolved sufficiently enough to

release their contents – but two of five non-USP supplements did not.

“Tacoma, Washington – 250,000 pounds of undigested vitamin and mineral pills are

pulled out of the sewers every six weeks. In Salt Lake City, over 150 gallons of vitamin pills show up in their filters every month.”
