Madison Square Boys & Girls Club will host its 12th annual Salute to Style luncheon on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at the Metropolitan Club in support of Madison’s long standing mission of providing much needed support to New York City’s most underserved youth. When: Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 11:30am Where: Metropolitan Club, NYC Why: Funds raised from this event help further our mission to save and enhance the lives of at-risk youth in New York City through programs like SMART Girls. SMART Girls works to empower and encourage healthy atudes and lifestyles that will enable adolescent girls to develop to their full potenal. A Salute to Style at a Glance A Salute to Style is a fashionably fun luncheon enjoyed by over 300 supporters of Madison in the spring at the quintessenal Metropolitan Club. Over one hundred fabulous items from top designers and influencers in the style world are auconed off during the luncheon with proceeds providing needed programs to our members. The 2016 luncheon was hosted by Amy Fine Collins of Vanity Fair and honored Dee Ocleppo Hilfiger, Founder & Creave Director, Dee Ocleppo Handbags, Celebrity Stylist/Fashion Director, Ty Hunter and Alison Breschneider of 25 Park. Guests of the event heard from Madison alumna, Janae Henderson, who aributes her professional success largely in part to the support and guidance she received from the Club. Past honorees have included Vera Wang, Badgley Mischka, Nanee Lepore, and Nicole Miller. Madison Square Boys & Girls Club: Since 1884, Madison has been saving and enhancing the lives of youth by providing youth development services for children in New York City’s most disadvantaged communies. Programs are engineered to empower each member to achieve three priority outcomes: Academic Success, Good Character & Cizenship, and the adopon of a Healthy Lifestyle. Every day, Madison provides thousands of children with a safe and posive environment, one where fun is encouraged and posive role models are plenful.
