A ROYAL CELEBRATION April 29, 2011 5th Grade Students Celebrate the Royal Wedding of Kate & William STUDENTS LEARN ABOUT CURRENT EVENTS! On Friday, April 29, 2011, 5th grade students celebrated the royal wedding of Prince William to Kate Middleton with a traditional English Tea Party. With the royal wedding in the background on the smart board, students enjoyed all of the trappings of an English tea party. The menu included tea, bread, butter, cakes, tiny sandwiches, appetizers, cakes, cookies and shortbread. Many of the tea party foods were prepared by the students themselves.
