Andsoitwas,whenJesushadendedthesesayings,thatthepeoplewereastonishedatHisteaching,forHetaughtthemasonehavingauthority,andnotasthescribes.
“ThereforewhoeverhearsthesesayingsofMine,anddoesthem,Iwilllikenhimtoawisemanwhobuilthishouseontherock:25 andtheraindescended,thefloodscame,andthewindsblewandbeatonthathouse;anditdidnotfall,foritwasfoundedontherock.26 “ButeveryonewhohearsthesesayingsofMine,anddoesnotdothem,willbelikeafoolishmanwhobuilthishouseonthesand:
