Page 2: A resist flexible bollards

A-Resist flexible bollards are manufactured from materials never used in bollards before, this materialallows for the bollard to return to its original shape and position after impact; which results in a virtuallyindestructible bollard.

A-RESIST BOLLARDS FEATURES

Virtually unbreakble.

100 % recyclable.

Not painted. No rush. No need for maintenance.

Excellent flexibility in all types of hardness.

Memory bollards; after impact, they return to original shape and position.

Excellent resistance and flexibility to impacts on a wide range of temperatures.

High resistance to oils, greases and many solvents.

High resistance to abrasion.

Soft surface.

Aesthetically identical to metal bollards.

Installation in places with high risk of impact. Roads, highways, ... Signalling.

Installation in pedestrian areas and curves for added protection to pedestrians, and toavoid vehicle parking. Urban centres.

Flexibility Recommended Use

We have two types of flexibility with the same aesthetic, for combination in different places while maintainingthe same appearance.

The properties of this material make possible that in the event of impact, the bollard returns to its originalshape and position. They won’t break, dent, or rust.

A-RESIST ADVANTAGES OVER OTHER BOLLARDS

- No fragility- Elastomeric memory (compression set resistance)- Abrasion resistance

- Lighter weight

- Less noise generation

- Corrosion resistance

- No maintenance

Over Metal Bollards: Over Plastic Bollards:

- High service temperature- No crystallization (bollard breaking)- High resistance to humid environments

(Even hydrolysis)- Presence of many chemicals

- Abrasion resistance- Shear and tear resistance- Thrust and dynamic load resistance- Ozone resistance- Higher and more varieties of hardness (Shore A and D).

Over Rubber Bollards: Over Cast Polyurethane Bollards:

Flexible bollards manufactured with materials instrict compliance with REACH regulation (EU) ata European level; free of heavy metals, pollu-tants, and harmful substances.

Page 5: A resist flexible bollards

A-Resist bollards have been designed for the safety of people. Proceeding with certification by the IDIADAAutomotive Technology Institute in compliance with legally established parameters in the estimation ofhuman harm.

In order to assess the safety of bollards, head and torso impact tests have been conducted:

Head and Torso Impact Tests

H

S

For head assessment, the Head Injury Criterion (HIC) isused, a parameter for estimating head injury in case ofimpact. These parameter values obtained during impactare related through injury curves with the risk of head in-jury. For example, in tests conducted by Euro NCAP toassess safety in the event of an accident, it is consideredthat head protection offered by the vehicle is good if theHIC value during the test is less than 650.

In the case of A-resist bollards, HIC parameter values obtained in tests conducted at 40 km/h were:

A-Resist (more hardness) less than 471. A-Resist (less hardness) less than 144.

The Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) is commonly used to assess the severity of lesions. This scale rangesfrom 1 (minor injury) to 6 (maximum severity, usually incompatible with life), where AIS3 is the value gene-rally used to refer to serious injury. Tests to assess safety in the event of torso impact are performed at aspeed of 35 km/h. Results of these tests show a torso acceleration level that is associated with a probabilityof an AIS3 severity injury of 12% for the model.

Our A-Resist bollards are the result of many years of research, to achieve a high-quality product. Ideal for public and private areas.

As manufacturers we can tailor our bollards to customer needs.

Optional accessories:- Special custom designs.- Non-standard colours (RAL colours, corten imitation,...)- Road sign adaptation.- Ring for chain.- Custom Logo.- Reflective stripes in other colors.
