A Report on the 2 nd IACC Delegation of Indian Higher Education Institutes to US May 28 th – June 8th, 2012 Background & Composition of the Delegation In order to facilitate collaborations between educational institutions, exchange programmes involving students, faculty and researchers from both India and the US and also to encourage private participation in the education sector, the Indo American Chamber of Commerce has initiated a Indo US Education Forum. This forum has representatives from the education sector and private sector from both India and the US. The Indo US Education Forum took its 2nd Delegation of 14 Indian Higher Education Institutes to Texas, Florida , North Carolina, Washington D.C & Virginia from May 28 th to June 8 th , 2012. The delegation was lead by Dr.Sankaran.P.Raghunathan , Co-Chair of the Education Forum and the focus of the Delegation was to provide a platform for Indian Universities to interact and establish long term links with US Universities, who are increasingly looking at collaborating with Indian Universities on key areas such as Twinning programs, Joint certifications / Dual Degrees, Research Collaborations, Faculty Exchange / Development and Study Abroad Programs. Background & Composition of the Delegation
In order to facilitate collaborations between educational institutions, exchange programmes involving
students, faculty and researchers from both India and the US and also to encourage private participation in
the education sector, the Indo American Chamber of Commerce has initiated a Indo US Education Forum.
