About the Hampton BeachRedevelopment Project
The Hampton Beach Redevelopment Project had two phases. In thefirst phase two new bathhouses were constructed, one at the northend of the promenade of the park (near the Marine Memorial) andthe other at the south end of the promenade (near Haverhill Street).The second phase included the construction of a new SeashellComplex used for State Park administrative offices and publicperformances. The project also consisted of upgrades andimprovements to portions of the seawall, parking lots, andpromenade. Construction of phase one (two bathhouses) began inMay, 2010 and completed in September, 2010.Construction ofphase two (Seashell Complex) began in September 2010 andcompleted by November 30, 2011.
