Celebrate Local Traditions A vibrant island tradition, the Canouan Cake Dance reveals the wedding cake for the very first time as it is danced to you with pageantry and music.

Make it Official – St. Vincent & The Grenadines
To secure a marriage license, residency in St. Vincent and The Grenadines is
required for one (1) clear day (the arrival day is not included). The customs and
immigration form each guest receives upon arrival in Canouan can be used as
proof of residency when applying for the marriage license in St. Vincent.
The Governor General’s License, which is a special license, must be obtained at the Ministry of Justice, in Kingstown, St. Vincent.
Applicants must produce their passports. If an applicant was previously married, he/she must produce a certificate of dissolution of the marriage in English. If widowed, then a death certificate in English is required.
Either a Marriage Officer, duly appointed to perform marriage ceremonies, or the Register of the High Court must perform the ceremony. Father Garraway is the preferred Justice of the Peace on Canouan to perform civil wedding ceremonies.
Those who wish to be married at Mandarin Oriental, Canouan must present completed wedding documents to the minister of their choice.
