A Message from the Board President Welcome to the first ever “Gallery of Students” issue of Dialogue. The Dialogue newsletter nor- mally showcases ESBOCES programs and services for school district superin- tendents and members of their boards of education. This publication covers an ar- ray of services that range from education- al, to financial, to procedural; it features the introduction of new technologies, as well as annual industry events, and issues that affect districts everywhere. For this is- sue, however, we’ve taken it in a different direction. We’ve altered the publication’s perspective by 180 degrees and instead chose to focus not on the latest programs, or the newest changes to our services, but on the people who matter most – the students. Within these pages you’ll meet a grand collection of students from each of the 51 component school districts that we serve who either receive services or attend one of our many programs. We’ve brought 51 faces to the forefront to demonstrate that the curricula we provide are much more than titles in a catalogue of shared services. We intend this gallery to be a window (a large, floor-to-ceiling custom window, if you will) into the educational servic- es that transform the lives of all types of students. Here, we feature career and technical education students, engineering students from our STEM High School, and those with special needs who attend academic and career- based classes. Take a moment to see exactly who benefits from all that we offer and from the opportunities with which you provide them by granting these students access to an ESBOCES education. The end result, displayed on these pages, is why we do what we do. As the school year draws to a close and you finalize plans, strategies, and budgets for the next year, please remember that ESBOCES is here for you, your staff, and your student body in innumerable capacities. Welcome to the first ever “Gallery of Students” issue of Dialogue. The Dialogue newsletter nor-

This publication covers an ar-ray of services that range from education-al, to financial, to procedural; it features the introduction of new technologies, as well as annual industry events, and issues that affect districts everywhere. For this is-sue, however, we’ve taken it in a different direction.

We’ve brought 51 faces to the forefront to demonstrate that the curricula we provide are much more

than titles in a catalogue of shared services. We intend this gallery to be a window (a large, floor-to-ceiling custom window, if you will) into the educational servic-es that transform the lives of all types of students. Here, we feature career and technical education students, engineering students from our STEM High School, and those with special needs who attend academic and career-based classes.
