Bharatanatyam• Bharatanatyam is one the oldest dance forms in India, it has

emerged from courts and temples of India. Before being registered as performing art, it was thought of as service to their gods. Women were taught by male gurus.

Kathkali • Kathkali is another very old Indian dance form. It originated

from Kerala. This particular dance form is story based, performers make use of facial expressions and gestures to tell tales and stories. Also, the costumes and makeup had great detailing.
