A Load of Bollards!A Load of Bollards!
Over the past year, street repairs seem to have become more and more badly
managed. For a partially sighted person like me, even a short walk down the road can be like an assault course.
This slideshow documents the everyday problems that street repairs
present for a visually impaired pedestrian.

Please consider visually impaired people when
planning and managing street repairs.
A Load of Bollards is a project by A. Johnson, a photographer with retinitis pigmentosa - an eye condition that affects 25,000 families in the UK.
All photos were taken in London in October 2009 with the support of Liz Orton, as part of Sights Unseen, a
project which provides sensory photography training to blind and visually impaired people.
