Northern Region:Seven states – Amazon Basin – Amazon Forest

Northwest Region: Nine states – 2nd most populated region

Midwest Region:Three states & Federal District – 2nd biggest in size but smallest in population.

Southeast Region:Four states – most developed region (due to the development of economics, industry and agriculture) - most populated.

Southern Region:Three states – smallest region – great European influence (Italians and Germans)
