Introduction

Elco Multi-Line Module Connectors are 2.0mm “Hard-Metric” connectors and accessories which are in compliancewith IEC 1076-4-101. This spec has been selected as theCompactPCI bus architecture by the PCI IndustrialComputer Manufacturers Group (PICMG). Elco Multi-Line

Module Connectors have been specifically designed as P1-5/J1-5 connectors for CompactPCI bus applications andP0/J0 in the VME64 Extension format. Elco also offers fullcustom connector services to meet the specific needs ofgiven markets and systems.

Sequential Mating andContact Length

The Elco Multi-Line Module connector system can provide12 standard contacts in any configuration to provide 3 levelsequential mating and either front or rear mating. 3 levellength is in 1.5mm increments to ensure sequential mating(as first mate, last break) and (last mate, first break).

MIDPLANE AND HORIZONTAL MATINGAPPLICATIONS

• 3 pin lengths in the front or rear allow for sequential mating in midplane applications.

• Rear shrouds are used in conjunction with the long pinlengths K-W (see chart above).

• Three shroud thicknesses allow for a full range of backplane thicknesses from 1.6mm to 6.0mm.
