Why are there different habitats on our earth? Why cannot all of the animals on earth just live in one big environment? How do some environments differ?

As we have learned environments are places which are very unique not only with what animals live in them but also what they are made up of. Different habitats have different characteristics about them. No two habitats are the same and that is why they are so interesting. We are going to embark on a journey that not only teaches you about habitats in general but also many interesting things that you may or may not have already known about all the different environments of our world.

Introduction

Page 3: A journey into different worlds…... Why are there different habitats on our earth? Why cannot all of the animals on earth just live in one big environment?

You and your partners should be able to answer these questions after visiting all the sites provided about the different habitats…

o What is a habitat?o How many different types have we talked about?o Pick your favorite habitat with your group.o How is the habitat you have picked different from all the others?o What makes your habitat unique? (Describe your habitat).o What are some animals you would find in your habitat?

Conclusion

Now that we have finished talking all about habitats there is one more thing to do for homework since you are all experts now.

For homework, write a one page essay about your favorite habitat. Make sure to include what the habitat is, how it is different from all the rest, a description of it, animals in it and something cool that you learned in your studies of habitats. This assignment is due tomorrow and for those who want to can tell us all about your habitat that you picked.
