A How To Guide for Scheduling with…
by: Kaitlyn Houseman
1. First, lets make sure we are on the same page. GoToMeeting is NOT GoToWebinar.
GoToWebinar: Useful when you will have multiple attendees (More than 5) and would like to track engagement, gather information via registration, polls, chat box, or track attendance.
GoToMeeting: Useful when you will need to email the person their login details, add to Google Calendar, send to one individual who will then share the login with many others. TIP: It is a MEETING, not a WEBINAR
2. You can’t schedule a GoToMeeting from this screen.
You need to Download GoToMeeting to schedule or edit a GoToMeeting.
3. Right-Click on the daisy icon in the Windows system tray.
Select “Schedule a Meeting”
4. Log in
5. Edit Your Meetings Details
Rarely would a meeting password be required
Make your meeting subject relevant but not overwhelming. Try to create a clear, purposeful subject
When will the meeting take place? Choose the day and time. The time will automatically reflect your current time zone. Don’t forget to set a start time and an end time. Pay close attention to the AM and PM options.
Will your attendees be calling in on the conference line provided, using an audio headset, or do you want to give them both options?TIP: If you aren’t sure, choose conference line.
All done? Click schedule!
6. Sometimes Outlook will load on your computer after clicking schedule. If you don’t use Outlook, just click cancel and then “yes”
7. Now you will see your GoToMeeting confirmation that the meeting was scheduled. Select “Show invitation text”
You can highlight the text in the box and hold down your CTRL and C key to copy it or click the “copy to clipboard” button.
8. Now send your GoToMeeting details either via email or through the Google Calendar Event Invitation.
