Holistic Guidebook for Co-Creating Health, Happiness, Peace, and Prosperity
Introduction
Since 1985 I’ve been a Holistic Health and Nutrition Counselor and have counseled thou-
sands of clients with a wide variety of health issues. The decade of the 80’s brought mostly
clients with cancer and other serious degenerative diseases. Holistic was not popular then
and many of those who sought my help viewed my holistic work as a last resort. Most had
exhausted all of their medical options. People were searching for a diet to cure their ills.
I observed common threads among those suffering with disease. Everyone was stressed
and lacking effective tools for understanding and resolving their problems. Many had
significant unresolved emotional issues. Still others had no balance in their lives; dysfunc-
tional relationships; and financial and work related challenges. People’s lives were and still
are greatly contributing to poor health. In those early years of my practice clients were
not interested in the big picture of holistic health. The demand was for nutritional therapy.
I deeply reflected on how I could make the healing journey easier for clients and recog-
nized the need to counsel them on creating healthier lives. This led me to the Institute for
Attitudinal Healing in 1988 where I became certified in Spiritual Psychotherapy which par-
allels the wisdom of 5,000 year old Traditional Healing Arts, the source of my professional
training. Both work with complete systems rather than dissection into parts. Your mind,
emotions, body, and spirit are a single system, each influencing the other, and impacting
relationships, environment, life’s work, finances—everything.
Both begin with the premise that there is a spiritual essence that permeates everything. It
is a life force or energy that is the building material for all things in the universe, including
your life. Science thinks of it as an electric or magnetic force and has discovered ways to
detect and measure it. Religious people think of it in terms of God.
We are supported and sustained by an underlying flow of life energy. When this flow is
impeded, you become weak or sick; your emotions become disharmonious; your relation-
ships, finances, work, and all areas of life suffer. When the flow of energy is strengthened
or cared for, you become stronger and healthier in every way. When the flow stops, your
body dies.

Spiritual Psychotherapy is not aligned with or dependent upon adopting any particular
religious belief. It is compatible with any view of the world that includes all of humanity
as equal in this world, and in the eyes of the Divine.
You are connected to a larger whole that is all-knowing, perfect, and unlimited. It is the
source of all of life and is not separate from you. It resides within you. Learning to access
this part of yourself; distinguish its voice from your personality; and act on its guidance;
are essential for ending struggle and suffering.
I began to integrate this modality in my practice and have been helping clients and stu-
dents understand the mental, emotional, and spiritual causes of and solutions for health
and lifestyle challenges for decades. Clients were thrilled to learn a Higher perspective
to their issues. The results were and continue to be phenomenal not only in terms of
health recovery, but also in resolving life issues and bringing greater peace and happi-
ness. I’ve witnessed many, many seemingly miraculous health recoveries and complete
transformation of life challenges. This is your every day potential.
Problems are an invitation to change
Your health and happiness are created by a variety of factors, internal and external.
Everything is feeding and creating your health and life. Every choice Matters - what
you choose to eat, think, feel, and believe is what you become at a deep level. Your en-
vironment; relationships; life’s work; and inner and outer communication are all feeding
and creating you as well as what you put in your mouth and mind. This is the basis for
true Holistic Healing.
Despite modern conveniences and technological, medical, and scientific advancements,
people are more stressed, tired, out of balance, sick, discontent, and dissatisfied than ever.
We’ve been looking in the wrong direction for solutions to growing mental, emotion-
al, and physical health problems, and life challenges including work, money, and rela-
tionships. Many are looking for the secret, that one thing that will end their struggles,
problems, and suffering. The path to transforming your health and life has never been
a secret. Many wise, masterful teachers have shared their holistic wisdom for centuries.
Most people take a superficial approach. Instead of looking at the level of cause holisti-
cally, they look for a magic pill – chemical or natural. This may temporary relieve symp-
toms, but does nothing to eliminate the cause. Borrowing money, changing jobs, and
leaving relationships can be superficial approaches too if the inner root of the problem
is not identified and transformed. Often the same problems return or new ones develop.
All problems start with a misunderstanding of your spiritual nature, and then filter to
mind, emotions, body, and life—in that order. Understanding how this relates to your per-
sonal challenges will move you to the next level of your happiness far quicker. Spiritually
you are unlimited and can co-create anything in your life. This does not mean aligning
with any particular religion, doctrine or guru.

Your body and life are urging you to change—and that may mean changing your food
choices; outdated thoughts, attitudes and beliefs that are limiting your potential; your
fast-paced, out-of-balance life; the way you perceive, respond, or react to your life’s
experiences; or many other choices that are making you tired, sick and unhappy. Doing
so will align you with a greater spiritual knowledge that has always been a part of you.
If healthier choices are not made, problems will speak more loudly to you. Until harmful
conscious and unconscious habits and ways of being are eradicated, your efforts to en-
joy healthy, passionate, joyful, and abundant living will have little impact. Each moment
is an opportunity for a new choice.
Nothing happens without the opportunity for positive benefit to you, even though it
may not be apparent. Every challenge, including health, weight, money, relationships,
and life’s work, contains wonderful gifts within them. They have a Higher purpose.
Discovering the gifts will propel you forward and dissolve barriers to your success.
Problems are a catalyst nudging you to integrate your spiritual essence with mind and
emotion to consciously co-create what you do want. Doing so will help you understand
the Higher purpose of your personal problems, and evolve you into a happier, healthier,
more joyful version of yourself. You are in the driver’s seat and have power and choice.
By using the processes in this program stress will dissolve; life will flow smoothly; health
issues will resolve without new ones returning; and you’ll move through life with a sense
of calm, trust, and joy.
Origins of Life and Health by Design
This program evolved as a natural outflow of deeply listening beyond the words to my stu-
dents and clients for decades. Why do some heal themselves and their lives while others
don’t? Their views of life, attitudes, struggles, emotional states, and response or reaction
to stress have been very revealing. The material was developed in response to the personal
issues and questions from my students and clients.
Their questions have stimulated a deeper knowledge and wisdom within me that was first
sparked more than thirty years ago when I began professional training in Holistic Healing
Arts.
Fifteen years ago I developed my Practical Spirituality Program which later morphed into
Creating a Life You Love. As I have grown and evolved so has the material. With many
revisions and updates, the program is now Life and Health by Design.
My Vision for Life and Health by Design is to take you from crisis management to co-cre-
ating an extraordinary life that flows. Your potential for greater happiness, abundance,
passion, joy, and fulfillment is huge. You are not at the mercy of uncontrollable forces as
some would like to believe. You have the ability to change your reality.
This life-changing, transformational Holistic Program provides a solid foundation and
personal blueprint for co-creating good health, success, happiness, and freedom. You’ll
Page 8

learn skills and tools to end struggle, procrastination, sabotage, poor health, and lack.
This Program will help you stop fighting against yourself and evolve your life to higher
levels by learning and implementing co-creation skills. In part, this is an unlearning pro-
cess of the many false truths that are guiding the lives of most people.
You’ll have a formula and tools for understanding and transforming your world and the
challenges you are living. Following this blueprint and applying the concepts will give
you consistent results in your health and happiness.
You’ll understand your life’s journey; why you have challenges and their positive pur-
pose. You’ll discover what you really want and what stops you from getting it; gain clarity
and create a focused plan; free yourself from self-doubt and damaging habits and life
patterns that have interfered with your greater good.
You’ll learn to recognize how you unknowingly may be creating obstacles that are pre-
venting your greater good and birthright of well being, abundance and joyful living.
You’ll understand how to stop trying so hard to make things happen and how to have
what you want come to you. A radiant, happy, abundant and healthy life is waiting for
you to claim it. It is within you, an inside job. Your personal power to re-invent your reality
is spiritual. It is vast and virtually untapped. You’ll learn to awaken it.
How to Work this Program
For best results, please work this program with an open mind and readiness to make your
health and happiness a priority. Be willing to honor yourself; make change; take action; and let
go of what is not working. Having a daily stillness or meditation practice will help immensely.
Life and Health by Design downloadable Course Manual contains ten modules with each
building on the previous one. The ten mp3 downloads are an important companion to each
module and contain additional information to support the Manual. It is recommended that
you spend a week on each module.
You can work them in a shorter or longer amount of time if that is your preference. However,
please spend at least five days on each one, and no more than ten days between modules.
You can always repeat the modules. In fact, it is recommended that you do so.
This work is likely to bring to the surface all within you that is resisting your greater good. This
may include unresolved issues from your past, personality characteristics that are limiting
you; thoughts and beliefs that are keeping you stuck; and unconscious fears. This is a good
thing. They are surfacing because they want to be resolved and transformed. The program
gives you the tools to do so.
You may feel that some sections do not resonate with or apply to you. Or you may not un-
derstand them. Stay with the process. Everything is relevant and important. Deeper under-
standing and clarity will come. Be open and present; avoid judging yourself and be loving
and compassionate instead; be committed to the process and to yourself.
This Program is a lifetime guide and resource and can be repeated many times.

Vision and Goalspave the Way to Success
Vision
Your mind is one of the greatest tools that you have for creating your life’s experiences.
Your thoughts are seeds that grow your future. You fertilize those thoughts by think-
ing them over and over until they become your reality. Your creation power lies in your
imagination. You use your mind and imagination every day to create nearly everything
you are experiencing.
Your consciously written Vision Statement expresses the outcomes you wish to experi-
ence in your life.
Examples: I am permanently healthy and fit with a clear, focused, positive
mind and emotional harmony. I experience my life with passion, fulfillment, and
great abundance. I have many loving, healthy minded, supportive people in my
life; I have plenty of time, energy, and money to do all the things I want to do.
an effective Vision Statement includes these elements:
• Descriptive, positive words written consciously in the present tense
• Expansion of your idea of what you believe is possible
• Statements that you can break down into specific goals and actions
Write your Vision Statement here:
“You can have anything you want if you want it desperately enough. You must want it with an inner exuberance that erupts through the skin
and joins the energy that created the world.” — ShEIla Graham

Goals
Your goals are the strategies and methods for fulfilling your Vision.
For example, if your vision is to have a healthy, fit body and mind, some sup-
porting goals would be to eat healthier whole foods and eliminate harmful
ones; work with a professional nutritionist, and increase physical activity.
If your vision is to find work that you love, then a goal might be to clearly identify skills
you enjoy using; the kind of people and work environment you prefer; to create a good
resume and get it out into the world; work with a headhunter; and to network with
others.
Formulate as many goals as you can that align with your vision. Use another sheet of
paper if needed.

Actions
You now have a vision and goals that you intend to manifest in your life. Your list of ac-
tions will become part of your day-to-day agenda, internally and externally. actions are
specific tasks and behaviors which you set for yourself.
Outer actions relate to activities that you execute to create outcomes for your goals.
For example, to support the goal of a healthier diet, your Outer actions may include
shopping lists to stock a healthy kitchen; researching restaurants with healthy choices;
planning time to cook and shop; or hiring a cook. General Outer actions which pertain to
a variety of goals may include listening to motivational CDs or reading inspiring books;
saying no to things you don’t want to be doing; cultivating supportive and uplifting
friendships, and working with a professional counselor or coach.
Inner actions are internal processes for transformation at the root level of dysfunction-
al behaviors to dissolve chronic patterns of self-sabotage. Inner actions may include
exploring fears and negative beliefs about yourself; reflecting on how your past choices
may have contributed to your challenges; cultivating self love, acceptance and compas-
sion; and aligning with your inner wisdom to support your growth process. Inner actions
may rely on the use of specific tools such as prayer, meditation, journaling, and other
introspective activities, including those that are part of this course.
Make a list of Outer and Inner Actions to support specific Goals:

Self Awareness Questions
What are your first mental responses when you think about your vision and goals?
Do you say to yourself—“I’m too old”; “it’s not possible”; “I missed my opportunity”;
“it’s going to be too hard”; “I don’t have what it takes”. If you do not work through
these conflicting intentions, it will be difficult to reach your goals and actualize your
vision.
Write your responses here
How can you create an environment for success? This could mean freeing up some
time in your schedule to take action; meeting regularly with supportive people who
are consciously creating their dreams; working with a professional coach; saying no
to things you do not want to be doing; and eliminating time wasters.

What do you need to let go of in order to be successful? This could be self-criticism;
perfectionism; beliefs that say it’s impossible; control issues; a negative life theme;
complaining, justifying, unresolved past issues; disorganization and clutter.
Write your responses here
What fears, if any, do you have about succeeding in accomplishing your goals?
reflecting on how your life will be different when you actualize your vision can help
you answer. Others have said: fear of not being comfortable with life being too good,
fear of rejection, fear of not fitting in, fear of being abandoned by family and friends.

Conscious Co-Creation
“When you change the way you look at things the things you look at change.” — Wayne Dyer
By now you’ve written your vision and are taking actions on the goals you’ve
set. Don’t worry if your vision and goals are sketchy. as you continue to focus
and do the course work, new ideas, insights, and clarity will come to you. you
can and should update your vision as this occurs. I hope you’re excited and
enthusiastic about your vision.
Everything is Energy
to understand how and why you have certain experiences, it’s helpful to recognize all
things as energy. everything in the Universe, including you, is comprised of different
frequencies of energy. this is called chi, ki, prana, etc. in different cultures. these terms
all refer to life force, or universal mover of all things. Scientists have discovered ways to
measure and detect life energy using electric or magnetic machines.
You are supported and sustained by an underlying flow of life force energy. when this
flow is impeded, you become weak or sick; your emotions become disharmonious;
your relationships, finances, work, and all areas of life suffer. when the flow of energy
is strengthened and cared for, you become stronger and healthier in every way. when
the flow stops, you die.
Where does energy come from?
the universe is full of life force energy. It radiates down to us from the sun, moon, and
stars; it radiates up to us from the rotating force of the earth. these sources of energy
have been called the source of creation of everything—all people, plants, animals and
inanimate objects. Scientific people think of it as an electric or magnetic force; religious
people think of it as God; contemporary spirituality calls it Love.
we live in two worlds, the physical material world and the spiritual invisible, intangible
world. everything in the material world manifested from the spiritual world and con-
tinues to do so. every possibility exists in the spiritual world simultaneously. You are
always receiving and emitting frequencies which change constantly based on what
you consume through all of your senses: food; visuals; sounds; air; textures; scents;
thoughts; and feelings.
change is easier when you know yourself
well

Self Awareness Questions
How do you feel about your thoughts and emotions?
Does the food you eat cause you to feel energized, clear-minded, optimistic and
present? If not, how does it make you feel?
What causes you to experience passion, fulfillment and aliveness?
How are your relationships feeding you?

How You Get What You Get
everything that comes to you is a response to your personal energy frequency. energy
is not static. It is always in a state of flux, transmuting itself into something else. You are
changing your frequency moment by moment with your choices.
You’re connected to disease or health; obesity or fit bodies; poverty or abundance;
passion or malaise; ease or struggle; joy or sorrow; and to everything that’s possible to
experience. all possibilities exist simultaneously. they manifest in your physical world
in response to your personal make-up and what’s in your consciousness, both of which
can be changed, Life and Health by Design will teach you the skills.
No two people are exactly alike. None of us eat, think, feel, act, respond, and believe in
the same ways. that’s because we all take in different qualities of energy. You do have
control over this and can make choices that are a match for what you really want.
Consciously Creating Your Health and Happiness
tools for manifesting your vision are intent, thought, word, and actions.
Intention is a spiritual quality. It is not the same thing as wishing, desiring, longing for,
and hoping. these all imply doubt. Intention is definite and is not a function of mind,
but rather a merging of mind with the Divine forces of creation. Intention is an act of
co-creation. You put forth the intent and allow the Divine to go to work on your behalf.
effective Intention requires:
• Focus and trust
• having a vision
• recognizing your connection to the Divine source of all things
• the ability to step out of your logical, analytical mind. It is what doubts and fears
You can attain the level of consciousness from which what you intend happens or
shows up quickly. there’s no better time than now to start. this takes consistency of
practice. please do not give up the minute something does not go your way.
Intention may bring your desires to you in many unlikely ways. It’s important to no-
tice everything and how it fits with your intention. pay attention to all the every day
miracles, big and small, that occur in your life. acknowledge them and make a big deal
out of them. You may not be seeing them, but they’re there. relate these miracles and
divine coincidences to your intention—notice the connection. this is important.
everything in your life came from intent. You may say you never intended illness, clutter,
lack of love, hard times, stress, unhappiness, poverty, etc. however there were some
negative attitudes, beliefs, emotions and/or to strong fears present long before your
circumstances became reality. all matter—everything—came into being through intent.

Create Intentions based on your vision and goals
First get grounded by sitting quietly and inhaling and exhaling slowly and deeply to
your belly. affirm that you are joining or merging with the energy of creation (or God,
Source, the Divine, or any word you resonate with). Feel the power of this. You may not
feel it right away, but intending it makes it so.
Examples of Intention:
I intend to work at a job I love.
I intend to be an effective communicator and a good listener
I intend to allow myself to receive all the good that life has to offer
I intend to live a balanced, nourishing life
I intend to evolve into my power to co-create everything I want and to be aware
of how I may be preventing this
I intend to unconditionally love and respect myself always
I intend to experience each day with ease, flow, confidence, and peace
I intend to say no to things I don’t want to be doing
I intend to be debt free
I intend to receive some unexpected money today
I intend to experience miracles today and to recognize them
Write your Intentions here:

energy of creation

Intention Tips:
If you’re filled with self-doubt, even expecting failure, you will get what you expect.
when things don’t go as you have intended, reflect on it and ask your inner wisdom
what you need to know to make this happen. pay attention; you will get answers.
You do not have to know the how of your intentions. Do not over analyze things;
allow solutions and answers to come to you in response to the power of your focused
intentions and your connection with the Divine.
Keep your intentions alive by focusing on your vision; thinking thoughts that are pos-
itive, speaking words that match your vision; and taking actions that you know will
get you there.
think about your intentions in the shower, in the car, whenever you can throughout
the day. Look for examples of whatever you intended even if it’s in others’ lives.
You can craft new intentions for each day.
Success Tips for creating a harmonious frequency
1. Get outdoors and go for a quiet walk with an empty mind every day.
2. Be more playful. Laugh more. Do things that cause you to feel lighthearted.
3. Keep your mind in the present moment.
4. remind yourself of what is working well in your life.

Which Voice is Leading Your Life
“The intellect has little to do on the road to discovery. There comes a leap in consciousness, call it intuition or what you will, and the solution comes to you and you don’t know how or why.” — AlberT einsTein
Your struggles are a catalyst urging you to shorten the gap between your
personality and the Divine within you. Life and health by Design is about
learning to co-create everything in your life by integrating your personality
with Divine Mind. in this chapter you’ll learn to connect with your all-knowing
inner guidance; to distinguish the voices in your head; and allow the perfec-
tion of Higher Mind to lead your life.
Your Inner Guidance System
What if you had a partner in life who adores you, can do anything, and always
responds when you ask? You do have that partner—a wonderful guidance system
within. Wouldn’t you like to develop an intimate, trusting relationship with her? She
resides within you in a deep state of sleep and is awaiting your call. She is your higher
Self and your link to the Divine limitless source of everything.
Your higher Self is always with you and is quieted by fear. She is stifled by struggle,
lack of self love, defensiveness, negativity, and other saboteurs which will be discussed
in chapter four. these widen the gap between you and the wonderful possibilities for
your health and life.
Your all-knowing partner awakens and responds to you when you are being creative,
and generous and kind to yourself and others. She is enlivened when you are enjoying
yourself in healthy ways and living in a state of gratitude. Finding the good in what is,
and using positive, uplifting words when you think and speak make your higher Self a
stronger presence in your life.
Higher Self, Your Inner Mentor
Your higher Self has no limits and will not interfere with your free will choice to struggle.
this wise inner mentor is your authentic self. She knows why you have the challenges
that you have and wants to aid you in fulfilling your vision and goals.
higher Self communicates with you through your intuition, thoughts, impulses, gut
instinct, and feelings. She sends you odd coincidences and synchronicity in the forms
of people, books, movies, and anything else that will give you the messages you need
to hear.
You are linked to the perfection of the Divine, all-knowing source of all creation through
your higher Self.
Your higher self is always with you

By consciously connecting with your higher Self regularly you will experience increas-
ing insights, clarity, and greater awareness. You can heal, prosper and evolve in joyful
ways by building your relationship with your inner mentor.
Daily Practice for Aligning With Your Higher Self
1. Sit quietly and focus your mind. You can play calming music if you like. take some
long, slow deep breaths to your belly. Imagine the breath coming into you as light
and going out from you as light. relax any tension in your body as you exhale. Simply
let it go. If your mind wanders keep bringing your attention back to your breath.
2. Imagine that you are being joined by many enlightened spiritual masters who are

Which Voice is Leading Your Life
every day you’re faced with a myriad of decisions to make. Your work, relationships,
diet, activities, time management, and every aspect of your daily life require that you
make choices. Often they’re made habitually with little conscious awareness, or they’re
based on beliefs of others; or are a reaction to some fear. When the results aren’t what
you expected do you wonder why you made those choices and acted on them?
there are two aspects to your mind. You are inherently equipped with higher Mind, the
Master personality within you. It is your built-in GpS system to help you navigate life’s
obstacles with confidence and ease. You can access higher Mind any time you choose
to co-create a life you love. higher Mind is constant and knows no fear or negativity.
Your intellectual, analytical mind is your Lower Mind and it is secondary to higher Mind.
You have sub-personalities many of which are the result of fears you’ve been taught,
taken on as personal truths, and have been conditioned to live by. these sub-personal-
ities change as you go through life’s experiences, sometimes for the better and some-
times for the worse.
this is not to say that the intellectual mind is all negative. It is an important aspect of
Higher Mind, the Master personality within you

mind that you use to plan and take actions toward your vision and goals. You’ve used
your Lower Mind to create vision, goals, and an action plan. and you have merged your
personality with higher Mind to intend those things into reality.
Higher Mind and Lower Mind
higher Mind qualities are aspects of Love. In this context love is the essence of life,
of the Divine, rather than emotional love that most people relate to. this kind of love
is the force of creation and can be interchanged with light, God, the Divine, Source,
the Universe, or other words that resonate with you. these traits are important tools
for transforming your life and actualizing your vision. they represent the authentic,
Divine you.
Higher Mind Attributes are innate; never change; and are aspects of Love and include:
Joy

Lower Mind Personality Attributes are learned and constantly change. these are as-
pects of fear and are saboteurs that keep you from your greater good. You could call
these sub-personalities. they are potentials with you. at times they surface and at times
they are dormant.

these fear-based emotions have been and continue to be created by the lower mind
personality. Most of humanity is living from them. they keep struggle, unhappiness,
sickness, poverty, lack, and all problems in motion. they are continually reinforced by
the media, science, religion, western medicine, and the culture.
Sub-personalities have constructed a theme for your life. It’s helpful to reflect on these
fear aspects with a sense of lightness. One way of doing that is to personify them when
they surface. Give light-hearted names to these sub-personalities. Create some of your
own. here are a few suggestions.

Mind Altering Practices
train and guide your sub-personalities to be a clear channel of higher Mind energy to
liberate yourself from limitation.
• treat the negative emotional states as friends. they have come to your awareness
to remind you to shift into higher Mind. Criticizing or hating them intensifies their
power.
• ask them what good thing they are trying to do for you. Note any impressions that
come to mind. Firmly tell them to help you in ways that feel good to you.
• thank them for being in your life. they have been trying to help you in some way.
• When a fear emotion arises, sit quietly and focus light on it. Do not judge it. Just
allow the feeling and, in your mind, fill it with light. this could take a minute or 20
minutes. Note how the emotion dissolves and loses its power over you.
• In response to Lower Mind voices, simply repeat over and over, “I choose peace”.
Self Awareness Questions
Write down your reasons, excuses, or justifications for not having what you want. Which
ones do you use the most? these questions are designed to help you understand your-
self, not to cause you to feel badly.
Write your answer here
Can you see how these reasons, excuses, and justifications represent a learned lower
mind quality? Which higher Mind qualities can you apply to them to transform them
into your dreams?
Write your responses here

Daily Practice
Choose one or more of the higher Mind qualities that you’ll focus on daily to shed
light on any difficulty. repeat your word(s) of the day hundreds of times like a mantra.
answer these questions about the qualities you choose to practice:
1. how does this quality impact me beyond that which is immediately apparent?
2. What emotions does this quality bring up?
3. What situations in my life make me more aware of this quality?
4. how do others in my life reflect and live this quality?

Success Tips:
• Listen to and follow your intuition, instincts and hunches. this may not seem rational
or logical, but act on them anyhow. Keep note of your experiences.
• align with positive, like-minded people.
• Greatly minimize or eliminate foods that contribute to a scattered mind: refined sug-
ar, alcohol, and additives, preservative and chemicals in food.
• excessive animal fat dims your memory and decreases mental abilities. replace with
vegetal proteins in at least some of your weekly meals.

recognizing Obstacles, removing Barriers, and Mirroring
“A loving person lives in a loving world. A hostile person lives in a hostile world. Everyone you meet is your mirror.” — KEn KEyEs Jr.
you’ve crafted a vision and are meant to be the receiver of it. your name
is encoded on it and it is circulating out in the world as a frequency magne-
tizing its likeness to you. you’ve set goals, learned to work with intention, and
are merging with and living from Divine Mind to transform lower mind voices.
These are important first steps in improving your world.
this chapter focuses on ways you interfere with and resist your best life. all are aspects
of lower mind. You’ll learn to transform resistance and interference and create a clear
connection to allow more good into your life. Challenging people and experiences re-
flect what you need to work on in order to experience a healthier, happier life. Mirroring
is a valuable technique for understanding this and is covered in this chapter.
Removing Obstacles and Creating Clear Connection
Most people are unaware of ways they resist their dreams. the interference practices
in this chapter will enlighten you to commonly accepted ways of being that oppose
happiness, good health, abundance, and freedom. a great deal of humanity practices
them daily.
Do you sometimes feel as though you’re swimming upstream, going against the flow
of the current? this is exactly what you’re doing when you engage in the interference
practices, all of which obstruct and cause stagnation in the flow of your greater good.
You can’t just wish something away. In fact, nothing ever goes away. everything is
constantly being transformed into something else. You eliminate interference by con-
verting it into alignment with the connection practices in this chapter.
You will be naturally guided toward actions that flow with your vision. From higher Mind
state you link with everything you need to build a positive momentum. everything you
yearn for is available to you. there is no lack of anything.
Interference practices put out a signal that disrupt clear reception of your dreams.
they are corroded tools much of humanity uses to keep their lives status quo and
worse. they have been learned from others who live them, and, with practice, can be
changed.
“When I see you, I see me. you are
my search for something more, something else. In you I sense
difference; you are the many parts of
me that I have yet to discover.”

Which Version of Yourself are you Meeting Today
You’ve been innately gifted with a powerful tool to assist you in understanding your
challenges. Mirroring is an effective technique to change your situation for the better. a
mirror gives back a clear image of anything placed in front of it. Your experiences bear
likeness to the beliefs you project into the world.
We’re all individual expressions of the whole reflecting different parts of ourselves to
each other. You are constantly expressing different higher and lower mind versions of
yourself. those facets are reflected back to you from others and your life’s experiences.
You meet hundreds of different versions of yourself each day. how does who you are
meeting fit with your vision?
the external conditions in your life are a mirror of your thoughts, attitudes and beliefs.
What you choose to see in others and from life is exactly what will be revealed to you.
If you expect the worst that’s what you’ll see. When you’re looking for the best, the best
will show itself.
Often challenging people and experiences replicate what you need to work on or let
go of in order to experience life in healthier and happier ways. What you see in others
is part of yourself.
Mirroring Examples:
• If you don’t like yourself or fear others won’t, people will show up to mirror that belief.
• You may find negative, difficult people in your life even though you’re not like this. It
may be reflecting your need to speak up for yourself and set boundaries.
• If you worry or fear that you won’t be on time, life will match that. Maybe you’ll get a
flat tire or an unexpected detour will show up.
• If you’re looking for an excuse not to do something (rather than just say, “I don’t want
to do that”), life will mirror what you really want. Sickness or work demands will give
you an excuse.
• Your life will reflect lack of money, love, fulfillment, etc. if you believe there is some-
thing fundamentally lacking in you.
• Critical people may be showing you that you criticize others or yourself. Controlling
people may be reflecting our own need to control, or lack of taking control.
• Sickness may be signaling a need to slow down, relax, stop being all things to
all people, and to be nurtured and cared for—things you don’t normally allow
yourself to do.
What you see in
others is part of
yourself.

Worthiness
“No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.” — ElEaNor roosEvElt
there’s an undiagnosed disease afflicting about 95% of the population. I call
it not good enough syndrome. It comes with a set of symptoms that are ma-
jor causes of all problems. You can go through the motions of dreaming up
your best dreams, setting goals, and taking actions. However, if you have an
underlying belief that you do not deserve, success will be difficult. or you will
get what you want but soon sabotage it. this chapter will help you under-
stand some of the ways this condition surfaces and skills for counteracting
its debilitating effects.
You are worthy no matter what your past, your thoughts, and what others think of
you. You are valuable, beautiful, special, and unique. every experience you’ve had was
meant to teach you to unconditionally love and accept yourself and others, and that
your true power to create anything comes from living higher Mind qualities.
Do you wonder why you don’t have the well being, peace, happiness, love, abundance,
and freedom that you desire? if you think you have to work harder, be smarter, or be
a saint, you will only experience those things if you are working hard or being a saint.
thinking kind and loving thoughts about yourself and focusing on what’s good about
you dissolves resistance and obstacles to your success. Your higher Self and the Divine
see nothing but the best in you.
When you have thoughts that there is something wrong with you; that you are funda-
mentally lacking in some way; not good enough; or that you do not deserve certain
things; you are not living from your authentic self.
Symptoms
You may not be consciously thinking you are unworthy. take a look at the list of not
good enough symptoms and note if any apply to you. they come from your condition-
ing and are fear based sub-personalities.

inability to give compliments

There Are No Conditions
people often base their worthiness on education and degrees, bank accounts, body
weight, looks, what you eat, how you spend your money, on your past, how much you
accomplish; how neat, organized, and orderly you are; and other people’s opinions
about you. this puts resistance between you and all the goodness life has to offer.
Your worthiness has no conditions. everyone deserves to have an, abundant, healthy,
joyful life. there is no lack of anything in the universe. Do you have a poverty mentality?
Look at any area of your life where you are experiencing lack-- health, money, love, re-
spect, relationships, time, or peace. all of this lack reflects not good enough syndrome.
When you are not living from high moral standards do you believe you are not good
enough? Many people have no values and they receive everything. they focus on what
they want and don’t put conditions on their receiving.
Were You Conditioned To Value Yourself?
Unworthiness comes from your conditioning. From day one you’ve been influenced
to believe certain things about yourself. You’ve undergone a gradual training process
from parents, relatives, friends, teachers, and religion. as you experience more of life,
your self-perception is swayed by co-workers, the culture, the media, science, and the
medical community.
Do you believe in the demoting attitudes of unworthiness, lack, and fear that others live
and perpetuate?
Were you programmed to see your magnificence, greatness, and special gifts?
throughout your life have you been complimented, supported, and encouraged to listen
to your deepest nature in ways that have increased your confidence and self esteem?
no matter what your conditioning has been, you are in charge now and have the ability
to refurbish negative beliefs that cause lack. It’s essential to have a strong desire to so.
Don’t allow the negative conditioning of the world to cause you to forget that you are
coded for a great life. You don’t have to do anything better. Strip away the layers of false
truths you’ve learned from others who are miserably living them.
Receiving
Close your eyes and imagine you are living your vision. how does it feel? Do you limit
how much you can let in? Instead of placing conditions on your ability to receive, love
yourself enough to have it.
Page 33

imagine yourself receiving more and letting good things flow to you naturally. You allow
many good things into your life easily and effortlessly. You have all the food you want;
friends; a home; support from others; a job; money, and other things that you don’t
think twice about
You may allow an abundance of good things into your life in some areas, and there may
be other areas where you think you do not deserve or must work hard for. You deserve
great things as much as small things. people who have what they want are not more
deserving or better than you. they are mirroring your potential.
Tip for Increasing Your Ability to Receive
• Graciously receive compliments with a simple, heartfelt thank you
• practice giving sincere compliments daily
• accept help freely from others when it is offered
• Write down any conditions you place on receiving and release them into Divine light
• reflect on all the wonderful things, people, experiences that came into your life easily
without your doing much to make it happen
How you view yourself matters
Do you have a distorted view of yourself seeing only negatives and mistakes from the
past, hence judging yourself as bad? When you were born you knew how perfect and
magnificent you are. With negative conditioning you quickly forgot this truth and may
have taken on a dim, disapproving view of yourself.
having what you want is dependent on your relationship with yourself; how you view
yourself and respond to your life’s experiences. Your problems will resolve more quickly
when you change your perception of yourself to a more loving and accepting one. how
you perceive yourself directs your actions and the course of your life.
Give freely to
receive more.

Many people view God as judgmental and condemning which feeds unworthiness.
Some were taught and continue to believe they are worthy of the Love of the Divine
only under certain conditions. Some religions instill the belief that you came into the
world flawed; that you are being judged; and are subject to God’s grace only when you
follow their rules.
You are an expression of the Divine, and unconditionally loved and adored by
him/her. Understanding this will inspire you to eliminate fearful, negative ways of being

Unmet Needs
“Needs do not cease to be because they have been ignored” — Thomas J. LeoNard
have you inaccurately reproduced your view of self from your original tem-
plate of divine perfection to the extent that your authentic self is unrecogniz-
able to you? Perceiving yourself as the “divine you” will alter the distortions
and put you on the joyful path of life. You’ve learned processes to help you
recognize and transform obstacles and understand your worthiness. The bet-
ter you feel in body, mind and emotion, the easier your life’s journey will be.
a common thread among successful co-creators is that they practice good
self-care by insuring their needs are met. This is the focus of this chapter.
Unmet needs accelerate aging and contribute to health problems; lack of joy and
vitality; loss of creativity and productivity; and malaise. they stir up fearful
sub-personalities that resist your dreams. Many people never think about their
needs—at least not until they have a crisis. Others don’t believe they can get their
needs met, so don’t allow themselves to even think about them.
Needs are what you require to be healthy, happy, fulfilled, and abundant. they vary
from person to person. there are fundamental needs that apply to everyone and
they are listed below. Use some or all of them to evaluate your needs and create your
personal lists.
When your needs are met you become your best possible self. Lack of balance
creates instability and disharmony. With balance comes energy, confidence, good
health, positive mind and emotions, more love, and freedom.
Identifying Personal Needs
Physical
• healthy Whole Foods Diet – food is nourishing your organs, blood, cells, tissues and
bodily systems. it influences your thoughts, perceptions, emotional state, and vitality
• physical activity/exercise
• sufficient rest
• healthy living environment
• Down time when you can mentally and emotionally let go; relax and do nothing
• human touch, affection and warmth, nurturing and comfort
• healthy sex
Balance creates
harmony & stability.

Mind Matters
“Your success or failure in anything, large or small, will depend on your programming—what you accept from others,
and what you say when you talk to yourself” — Dr. ShaD helmStetter, author
life is a self-fulfilling prophecy. In this chapter you’ll learn how your thoughts
direct your life; the importance of overcoming habitual damaging mind chat-
ter and downloading empowering beliefs; and how to be happy now. Your
life depends on it!
Is your mind in service to your dreams or your fears? the predictions of your mind
tend to be accurate. Many of your thoughts do come to pass. the situations you dwell
on, mentally rehearse, and expect to occur are often reflected back to you as events
in your life.
It’s self-destructive to keep infecting your imagination with incessant irrational, gloomy
thoughts of fear, lack, and failure. they pollute the air making a heavy atmosphere in
your life and in the world and return to you what matches them. It’s far more sensible
to expect the best.
An Invitation to Change
are you running out of bad options? You are being forced by circumstances to accept,
or pay attention to something, usually because there is no other option or no means
of escape.
Your obstacles and limitations are doing you a favor. they are making sure that you
can only proceed in one direction which happens to be the Divine path. to progress
steadily you’ll have to remove the detours created by personal truths, feelings, atti-
tudes, negative expectations, repressed emotions, and living in the past. this is working
at the level of cause.
this means changing:
• self criticism to unconditional self love and acceptance
• pessimism to hopefulness and positivity
• negative emotions to recognition of the gifts within them
• Interference to connection
• Discontent to happiness in the now
• a mind stuck in the past to living in the present
• reacting with fear to responding with higher Mind

the happiness you seek is seeking
you.
Taming Your Mind
Whatever you mind knows intensely will come to pass. the universe runs on thought
patterns from the information it receives from you. What you can do for yourself with
your focused thoughts and intention will amaze you. Great healing of any aspect of
your life can occur.
a clear, focused mind is critical in carrying out your vision. emotional thoughts cause
you to react with fear rather than responding effectively to your personal challenges
with the intelligence of your higher Mind.
Clear thinking means:
• aligning with your higher self to discover the higher truth of any situation
• Detaching from emotional states that cloud your vision
• Freeing your mind from the thoughts and opinions of others; from mass conscious-
ness; and from any exaggerated personal response
Your higher self lives in the truth of abundance, joy, love, beauty, and well being and
can help you release uncertainty; pain, struggle, and crises. It attempts to express it-
self through your mind, but withdraws when you are choosing negative, fear-based
thoughts.
Improving Your Mental Metabolism
Mental metabolism is the process by which thoughts are converted into specific fre-
quencies of energy needed to direct your life. Your thoughts penetrate your cells and
your body and life respond to your mind at a cellular level. You become what is most
like your thoughts.
• avoid being around people who are negative, victims, or complainers
• Do not get drawn into others’ dramas and disempowering conversations. Gracefully
change the subject to something positive or walk away
• some people love to talk about their problems and don’t really want solutions.
recognize this type of person and avoid them. Don’t be that kind of person
• release judgment. there is no good or bad, only experience
What Do You Say When You Talk to Yourself
thoughts that tell you that you are less than perfect are false and have arisen from
programming of mass consciousness. have you unknowingly accepted them as truth?
negative thoughts about health, relationships, abundance, life purpose, your potential,
and aging are illusions created in the minds of humanity, and will become real for you
if you believe in them.
Page 47

Improve your self-talk. release self-critical, harshly judgmental, doubting voices. shift
the conversation to a higher level by reminding yourself of the wonderful things about
you; what’s working well; and all the amazing possibilities that exist for you.
Retrain Your Brain
• recognize negative thoughts, beliefs, and memories. Do not allow them to take root
within your consciousness. Be firm and insist they leave and they will go
• When fearful, critical thoughts surface, say to yourself or aloud something such as
“be gone” or “transform into the light” and they will leave
• Counter negative thoughts with strong, clear, focused intentions
• Do not fight with or dislike negative thoughts. Be calm and neutral toward them.
Fighting them gives them more power
• repeatedly tell yourself, “that’s not who I am anymore”; or, “I’m under new manage-
ment”; or “I choose peace”
• set clear boundaries about what you will allow into your consciousness and what
you will not tolerate
• You have freedom to choose the thoughts that enter your consciousness. Choose
wisely. Your happy life depends on it.
Awareness Practice
are your conversations in past, present or future tense? are your words positive and
uplifting? Do they make you feel good or do they bring you and others down? Do they
bring up unresolved issues? are you using fear based words or higher Mind words?
Write your observations here
When involved in negative conversations find ways to interject words that are positive
and lighter. notice how you feel when you do this.

Beliefs Produce Predictable Outcomes
You think 40–50,000 thoughts daily. how many of them are repeats? a belief is a
thought that you’ve thought over and over until it becomes you. Beliefs bring back to
you what matches them.
Is your life being held hostage by your mind? are lower mind sub-personalities restrict-
ing or controlling your freedom? Is fear imprisoning you? Is your inner terrorist torturing
you with thoughts of failure? has your inner judge sentenced you to a life of struggle
and hard labor?
Your thoughts produce predictable outcomes. Your life has the same characteristics as
your personal beliefs. When you experience unwanted circumstances it’s important to
examine any deep-seated negative concepts about the subject.
Common Demoting Beliefs
• struggle and hardship are inevitable parts of life
• not smart enough, good enough or deserving
• It’s genetic and cannot be changed
• no pain, no gain
• It’s natural to have health problems as we age
• there are no good jobs available
there are many false beliefs that lead to every challenge. Most people believe disem-
powering beliefs of others—from parents, friends, the media, science and the culture.
this debilitates your ability to change your circumstances for the better. Your life will
be what you believe it will be. You’re in charge and it starts in your mind. nothing stays
in your mind that is not there by choice.
take time to uncover your patterns of thought regarding what you believe is possible
for you. Your problems are letting you know that something you are thinking, believing
and speaking is opposing your highest good.
What Program is Running Your Life?
If you do not specify a set of beliefs that align with the life you desire, you will default
to the preset beliefs that have formed from your dominant thoughts and the beliefs of
others. the things you believe in with the strongest emotions (negative or positive) are
what manifest in your life.
What are your beliefs about life, happiness, money, health, or any subject of importance
to you? If you’re unsure, look at your current reality and you’ll know what they are.
Identifying your reasons or excuses for any problem will also let you know what your
beliefs are.
the survival of your
problems depends on
your negative thoughts.

new beliefs will instill habits that give you the results you want. Choose several of
them and repeat them hundreds of times daily. at first they may seem like empty
words. eventually those beliefs will become you at a cellular level and lead you to your
greatest good.
Happiness is in This Moment
everything you want is because you believe in some way it will make you happier.
happiness is a symptom of living in the present with full awareness of the Divine you. It
is not something to chase after. It can be found within you at all times.
If you’re waiting for some future event to happen in order to be happy you miss oppor-
tunities for joy in this moment. When you are present and focused everything becomes
enjoyable.
Happiness Inducers

self in those things. enter a trance state and become one with the task at hand. totally
focus on it and do not let one thought or distraction enter your consciousness.

Are You Absent From Your Life?
Do you continually stew over past events with regret, anger, shame or blame? are you
constantly worried about everything that could possibly go wrong, including contract-
ing every new disease you hear about? Does your mind play out the worst possible
scenario for your health and life?
Your co-creation power is virtually untapped, and it is in this moment. It is in every
thought, every word, every action, every smile, every frown, every complaint, every hurt
feeling, every joyful feeling, and everything else you are choosing.
• a mind stuck in the past or future is a waste of your precious life. the past is fiction
now, and birth to one second ago is the past. Your future is not pre-determined and
your thoughts about it are the building blocks for what lies ahead.
• please attend every moment of your life. Your absence in this moment results in poor
health, low energy, stress, a scattered mind, disconnect from your higher self, and a
loss of great happiness.

Conflicting intentions; pay-Offs; Life theme and Story
If you want a happy ending, that depends, of course, on where you stop your story.”
— OrsOn Welles
Does it feel a though there’s a strong tug-of-war going on within you? You
want one thing yet continually make choices that oppose your goals. There
are conflicting intentions within you that produce negative pay-offs. To end
struggle and failure both need to be identified and released and a new theme
and story for your life created. This chapter will enlighten you to the ways you
diverge from what you want with conflicting intentions and how it’s paying
you to do so.
Conflicting Intentions
Conflicting intentions are those things you knowingly or unknowingly do that counter
your goals, and immediately or later regret. this is often done in subtle ways that are
not easy to detect. these internal contradictions provide valid reasons not to do things
you don’t really want to do, including actions related to your goals and intentions that
scare you.
Negative Pay-Offs
You take some positive actions because the desired outcome is at the forefront of
your mind. every thought, word, belief, feeling, and action (or lack of action) causes
an effect. at times you receive a negative pay-off from staying stuck in your problems.
they result from internal inconsistencies that are at odds with your goals and your
Divine Self.
Examples of How this Plays Out
Joyce is suffering with a serious degenerative disease and has fully intended to recover.
her husband and adult children have always been mean-spirited toward her. Since she’s
been sick they have become kind, attentive and nurturing. She had been working at a
job she strongly dislikes and her poor health made it necessary for her to take a leave.
Pay-Off – as long as Joyce remains sick she receives the love, respect, and attention
from her family that she desperately wants, and she gets to avoid a work situation
that she despises. The conflicts are her inability to communicate how she wants
to be treated and what she will not tolerate; and her belief that she cannot seek
employment she’d love.
You get to choose the players in your life

It is safe to tell
the truth in all
situations
Claire’s vision has been to sing professionally. She took voice lessons for years. Finally
her first public performance was booked. intense fear of not being good enough over-
came Claire and she did nothing to process through it. the day before the performance
she became very ill, was hospitalized, and had to cancel the performance.
Pay-Off – The conflict was the fear of not being good enough. The pay-offs were
avoidance of taking the risk and stepping into the new world she wanted but feared;
and validation of her belief that she is not good enough.
peter has struggled with money issues most of his adult life and has intended to receive
greater financial abundance. Someone offered a financial gift to him. he became con-
sumed with guilt and projected his poor financial state onto the person who offered
the money, assuming it would cause them lack. he did not accept the gift and was later
filled with regret.
Pay-Off – The conflict is guilt which is incompatible with receiving freely. Peter gets
to stay poor; and keep his belief that receiving hurts the giver. The regret he felt add-
ed more to his guilt quotient.
eileen frequently makes commitments to attend events she doesn’t really want to go
to. She is afraid others will be mad at her or she will let people down. When the time
comes her car breaks down; there’s a major traffic jam; a relative needs her assistance;
her water pipes break; or other saboteurs that leave her unable to fulfill her promise.
Pay-Off - Eileen’s inability to honor herself and belief that it hurts others to do so are
the conflicts. Life gives her justifiable excuses to get what she wants and negative
pay-offs along with it.
Widespread Conflicts Incompatible with Health and Happiness
• Beating yourself up for your shortcomings or your past choices
• Stuck in regret which creates a heavy, stuck frequency
• Belief that you are the only one who can do things right
• Continual worry about finances; berating yourself for past ways you’ve handled money
• the need to be right and make others wrong
• Believing your perceived flaws and past choices deem you unworthy
• allowing guilt to determine your choices and actions
• Living with dysfunctional relationships
• Unhealthy communication or avoidance of communication
• exaggerating how bad things are in order to get sympathy
• Comfort with what’s familiar even when it’s making you miserable

Resolving Internal Conflicts and Harmful Pay-offs
it’s essential to have steadfast determination to get to the bottom of your issues and
work out your internal conflicts. Some deeper inner work needs to be done. this re-
quires awareness and deep honesty. You are not separate from the Divine Source of all
possibilities and solutions. Failure to understand this is at the core of all discord.
1. Be very clear about what you want and the ways you go about getting it. examine
your motivation for everything you do.
2. Stop committing to things you don’t want to do without feeling guilty or worrying
what others will think of you. What’s important is what you think of you.
3. Do not tell, what you believe to be, harmless white lies. Often this is done to avoid
embarrassment or the distress you believe comes from telling the truth.
4. trust that it is safe for you to tell the truth in all situations. practice doing so with
confidence. Build trust by doing the practice for connecting with your higher Self;
implementing the connection practices; daily asking the Divine for assistance; re-
training your brain, and creating new beliefs in previous chapters.
5. Stop assuming that others will be hurt by your decisions. Doing so disempowers
them.
6. You are at odds with your vision when you focus on your fears and worries. they are
stories you are telling yourself. Continue with the Mind Matters practices in chapter
seven.
7. Your feelings about yourself are an intention you send out into the world. What are
they a match for? the perfection of the Divine is within you and you reject it when
you judge, criticize or berate yourself.
8. align your free will with higher Mind with firm conviction. this takes effort and
practice.
9. Your positive intentions must be authentic and stronger than your fears and beliefs
that caused the problem
10. Sharpen your inner and outer communication skills
the past is a story
that isn’t real anymore.

Success Tips
• address issues with others as they surface with good communication
• Be willing to see and consider others’ perspectives with respect
• Let others be right and do so with sincerity
• Let go of the need to rescue, be all things to all people, and to know everything.

Best practices for a healthy Mind and Body
“One-quarter of what you eat keeps you alive. The other three-quarters keeps your doctor alive.”
— HierOglypH found in an ancient egyptian tomb.
your body is the vehicle through which your Higher Self expresses itself in
the world. When it is functioning at its highest and best it’s easier to focus
your mind in positive, clear ways that attract what you want. you have more
control over your health than you realize, and the food you eat is one of its
greatest influences. This Chapter will enlighten you to best and worst foods;
why you have cravings and how to eliminate them; easiest and least expen-
sive way to improve health; and non-food tips for mind and body.
Most people take a superficial approach to health issues and look for a magic pill,
chemical or natural. this may temporary relieve symptoms, but does not eliminate the
cause. Often the same problems return or new ones develop. the causes are rooted in
food, thought, and lifestyle choices.
Your food choices are regenerating or degenerating your body and mind; influencing
your connection to your Divine Self; and moving you in the direction of your dreams or
detouring you. Sickness is your body’s way of urging you to change. if healthier choices
are not made, your freedom to enjoy healthy, joyful, abundant living will be lost.
Everything is Feeding and Creating your Health and Life
every choice matters. health and happiness are based on subtle frequencies of energy
you consume from everything including:
Whole foods support

air you breathe
textures you touch
scents you smell
thoughts you think
emotions you feel
life’s work and relationships

Your diet is one of the best ways to prevent, even reverse, disease when used appro-
priately for your condition. the problem is there are many versions of what constitutes
a good diet. Most of them conflict with each other. they all have a common theme:
everyone should eat according to the same rules and each one claims their rules are
the ones that will make you healthy.
One man’s medicine can be poison to another. a perfect diet that will bring everyone
good health does not exist. Not everyone benefits equally from foods that contain

the value of food extends far beyond its nutrients. Food has an essence which is far
more than the sum of its nutrients. all food has a character and energetic properties
that surpass science. You become the frequency of the food you consume.
Symptoms of a Poor, Weak, or Inadequate Diet

Foundational Foods that Benefit Everyone
everyone benefits by eating whole foods as primary foods--whole grains, vegetables,
beans and legumes. Whole means they are eaten in the state they are grown. Food has
a life force that is diminished when processed and refined.
Your body’s greatest need is for fuel from complex carbohydrates. Many fear carbohy-
drates and mistakenly lump the simple and complex ones together. too many simple
carbohydrates hinder good health. they are highly refined, nutrient deficient foods that
cause fatigue, moodiness, and many health issues.

Best Foods
1. Whole grains. Most people can’t even identify them. they include brown rice,
barley, oats, quinoa, millet, rye, buckwheat, and others. Grains provide consistent,
even energy and emotional stability; contain a high concentration of B vitamins
and other vital nutrients; promote good colon health; reduce food cravings; boost
serotonin, a powerful brain chemical; and leave you feeling relaxed and calm.
2. Healthy proteins include beans, legumes, nuts, seeds, miso, tofu, and tempeh all of
which are high in calcium and other minerals. their dense nutrients leave you feeling
nourished, satisfied, and emotionally balanced. the need for protein is small except
for children, elderly, and those with serious illness.
Proteins are building foods and many eat excess amounts leading to health and
weight problems. Most people do not take a rational approach to protein and
overeat it for fear of becoming deficient. Your body’s greatest need is for fuel from
complex carbohydrates. the need for protein is small in comparison. Children, elder-
ly, and those with serious illness need more protein than the average healthy adult.
3. Vegetables provide the full spectrum of vitamins and minerals you need to live and
grow healthfully. eat a minimum of four cups of a variety of vegetables daily. if you
are overweight, have blood pressure or cholesterol, eat up to 10 cups daily. prepare
them in a variety of ways: steaming, roasting, sautéing, blanching, raw and pickling,
4. to bypass chemicals, eat organic foods. if organic foods are cost prohibitive, eat
locally grown. they tend to have fewer chemicals than food shipped across the
country or from distant countries.
Worst Foods
1. Chemicals, additives, preservatives, and artificial foods cause toxic reactions
including allergies, asthma, obesity, fatigue, headaches, cancer and more. they
cause short attention spans and learning disabilities.
Your liver becomes stressed from metabolizing these chemicals and potential
carcinogens. toxic liver causes moodiness, emotional repression, frustration, resent-
ment, impatience, mental rigidity, irritability, nervous tension. these substances lack
nutrition; are not real food; and your body doesn’t want them.
2. Sugar is addicting and leads to disease and unhappiness. it promotes acidity and
consumes the body’s minerals; calcium is lost causing arthritis and bone loss. too
much of it causes obesity, headaches, blood sugar imbalances, infections, damp
conditions such as candida and fungus; promotes mucus and swellings; iBS, and
other digestive issues; a scattered, unfocused mind, brain fog, and irritability
3. Minimize mucous causing foods especially cow’s milk and its by-products. they
cause weakened immunity, asthma, allergies, digestive and colon problems, ede-
ma, bloating, puffiness, obesity and cancer. they contribute to negative demeanor,

lethargy, indecisiveness, lack of will, depression, and inability to move through and
resolve grief and sadness.
Cow’s milk products are very high in fat, cholesterol and sodium, and are not nec-
essary for good health. the dairy council has convinced the public that we all need
their harmful products. there is plenty of calcium and other vital nutrients in whole
grains, a variety of vegetables and vegetal proteins. if you are in doubt, you’re better
off taking a calcium supplement that eating cow’s milk products.
4. Processed and fast foods are devitalized, low nutrient foods. they leave you feel-
ing dissatisfied and ungrounded; mentally and physically weak; and set you up for
cravings. Food has a vital life force energy that is diminished when processed and
refined. they encourage separation; whole foods support alignment with Source.
the less processed foods you eat the greater a harmonious flow of energy within
you. there are thousands of toxic chemicals used in food processing.
5. Refined sugar and caffeine cause blood sugar to plummet, leaving brain chemistry
in disarray, and emotions depleted. they trigger anxiety, restlessness, panic attacks,
fatigue, poor concentration, insomnia, and nutrient deficiencies. they weaken the
connection between your heart and mind. Caffeine can be found in coffee, tea, choc-
olate, and cola. alcohol is a depressant and has the same effects.
6. Eating animals poses many health risks. their cholesterol and saturated fat are
linked to heart disease, insulin resistance, and some cancers. Diets high in animal
protein can worsen kidney problems and bone loss. animal products lack fiber and
complex carbohydrates. they dim memory, decrease mental abilities, and create
impatient, irritable, angry, aggressive behavior. Fat accumulations cause you to be-
come emotionally stuck. to increase longevity, minimize or avoid animal foods.
if you eat animal protein, purchase meat and poultry that are free of steroids, hor-
mones and antibiotics, and wild caught fish. eat small portions with lots of vegetables.
How You Eat Matters
eating mindfully enhances the positive effects of the food. You’ll metabolize more
efficiently, be more satisfied, and feel nourished in body, mind and emotions.
• Sit down when eating. avoid working, watching television, and other distractions.
Savor the aromas, tastes, and textures and enjoy the food.
• receive and eat your meals in the spirit of gratitude for nature, farmers, food distrib-
utors and retailers, the cook, and yourself.
• take 3-5 long, slow deep breaths before eating to improve digestion and assimilation.
• Chew each bite 25-50x, or until liquid. You’ll be satisfied with less, receive more
nutrition and energy from the food, and normalize under or overweight conditions.
Saliva contains enzymes that, when mixed with food, help you absorb nutrients
efficiently.

• avoid drinking with meals and have a cup of warm tea after meals to improve
digestion. try peppermint, spearmint, ginger, or chamomile.
• Stop eating when you’re satisfied rather than full.
• take a 15-30 minute walk after eating for better digestion.
• having the bigger meal earlier in the day, and avoiding late night meals will reduce
excesses, improve digestion, sleep, and energy.
Causes of Cravings
i never recommend controlling your cravings. they are a guidance system letting you
know what you need. With the right information you’ll be able to discern what your
body really wants. this will eliminate cravings and attempts at using will power to
ignore them. When you are eating the right foods for you, you’ll be satisfied and with-
out cravings.
Sweets, coffee and alcohol
Lack of complex carbohydrates and a variety of vegetables are common causes of
sweet, coffee and alcohol cravings. Others are excessive animal protein, salt, and
processed foods. Sweets make you crave more sweets. artificial sweeteners are 200x
sweeter than sugar and keep your sweet taste alive. Skipping meals; too much activity
relative to relaxation; lack of sweetness, joy, fun in your life; and intense emotions such
as anger, resentment and bitterness all cause these cravings.
Salt, meat, eggs, cheese, and salty snacks
Cravings for excessive amounts of protein can indicate the need for more minerals.
Minimize or eliminate foods and non-foods that cause mineral loss including coffee,
alcohol, sweets, and excess fruit. Salt cravings are often a craving for the minerals
lacking in chemically grown food and lost in food processing. if your health warrants
medication, you need to eat very well and learn about foods that counter the negative
effects of medication.
High Fat
high salt diets cause cravings for fats. When you cut down on salt, the fat cravings
diminish. high fat foods can comfort and insulate you from the stresses of modern day
living. Fat causes you to slow down, has sedative effects and puts you to sleep. it calms
compulsive behavior and can cause you to not feel emotions that you’d rather ignore.
high stress fats are saturated animal fats, hydrogenated oils, butter, greasy fats in meat,
eggs and cheese, mayonnaise and high fat salad dressings.

Overeating
a steady diet of refined and processed foods causes overeating. Your body is attempt-
ing to get nutrients that have been lost in the processing. this is a good reason to eat
plenty of whole foods daily. When foods are eaten in their whole, natural state you’ll be
nourished and satisfied and have very few cravings. Gulping food and lack of healthy
tools to resolve stress encourage overeating.
Does Your Body know that you’ve eaten?
Do you gulp your food without breaking it down in the mouth with teeth and saliva?
this makes for difficult digestion and poor health. Your intestines have to do the work
of your teeth and saliva. this takes a lot of your body’s energy and is a cause of fatigue.
You may feel full, but not satisfied. this leads to constant eating since you haven’t ab-
sorbed the nutrients from the food that you haven’t chewed.
What Are You Really Craving?
Many cravings aren’t about food. What are you really hungry for? Others have said:
love, fun, relaxation, acceptance, safe emotional expression, healthier relationships,
financial security, self-confidence, energy, freedom and peace. Find ways to get these
needs met now. Using food to satisfy them is a backwards approach and will leave you
frustrated and unhealthy.

Power of Breath
the most simple and inexpensive way to improve your physical and mental health is to
fill your body with oxygen. 70% of the body’s wastes are processed through the breath.
Most people get one-quarter the amount of oxygen the lungs were designed to hold.
that’s a major deficit for cells trying to process food, release toxins, and provide energy
for all your body’s needs.
Without enough oxygen your body is working at 20-25% of its potential. Your body
slows down, ages faster, gains weight, and stores toxins that lead to health issues. Most
people are shallow breathers. Chest breathing inhibits blood to the brain and constricts
arteries.
Deep breathing will give you more control over your energy, moods, feelings, and
thoughts and improve all health conditions. Stress can be cleansed with long, slow deep
breathing. raising oxygen levels allows your brain to function better and promotes a
calm, peaceful, positive mind.
activities that promote higher oxygen levels make you feel more alert and positive.
include yoga, tai chi, qigong, brisk walking, hiking, or riding a bike outdoors.
Daily Practice
Sit with a straight spine and inhale slowly and deeply through your nose to four counts,
bringing the breath to the lower abdomen. Keep your shoulders down and relaxed. Your
belly expands out on the inhalation, somewhat like inflating a balloon.
hold the breath for four counts; exhale slowly for four counts. as you exhale through
your nose, your belly naturally contracts. if this is easy, inhale to four counts, hold for
eight, and exhale to eight. Begin with 3 minutes and build up to 15-30 minutes daily.
• take yoga to learn diaphragmatic and other breathing exercises
• instead of a coffee break, take a breath break
• take 3-5 slow, deep, belly breaths before eating

Love
“Wouldn’t it be powerful if you fell in love with yourself so deeply that you would do just about anything if you knew it would
make you happy? This is precisely how much life loves you. The deeper you love yourself, the more the universe will affirm your worth. Then you can enjoy a lifelong love affair that brings you the
richest fulfillment from inside out.” —AlAn Cohen
In this chapter you’ll learn why love is critical; what impedes it and how to
grow it; spiritual love techniques to change difficult situations for the better
and influence others in positive ways. You’ll be able to create and maintain
a sense of peace and calm; improve health conditions; and to manifest your
dreams with the Peaceful Resolution visualization. You’ll discover ways you
unknowingly express lack of self love, and how to remedy them with simple
self love practices.
What is Love and Why it’s Important
Spiritual love is an invisible force that connects all life forms on the planet to each other,
and to the Divine Source of all creation. Love is your essence, your innate spiritual per-
fection, and is the authentic you. You’re here to live love, bringing it forth from others.
emotional love is personality based, conditional, subjective, and ever-changing. Spiritual
Love is of the Divine, unconditional, constant, and never-changing. It embraces every-
one, excludes no one, never dies, and knows no fear.
real love means seeing yourself and everyone else through the eyes of your pure
Divine Self. the higher mind attributes in chapter three are aspects of Divine Love.
You are Divinely designed with one building material only—Love; it is all that you need
to co-create, and is the path to manifestation. allow it to take control of your life to
dramatically accelerate your happiness and freedom. there is nothing more powerful.
Loving People You Do Not Like
You don’t have to like everyone, but loving them is essential. It’s a person’s behavior
you dislike, a persona they have invented from lower mind based on their conditioning.
Imagine they are wearing a costume or mask, or playing a role in a bad movie.
Challenges and difficult people are opportunities to have a better experience by living
Love. this means shifting your perspective from lower mind to higher mind qualities
to shine light on the difficulties.
When negative feelings emerge from or toward another, practice Love. If you under-
stood a person’s history, it would be easy to replace judgment and criticism with Love,
compassion, and understanding.
Seek to have a closer relationship
with love

tion and ask yourself why they are behaving badly. It’s always some fear. refer to list

Why Self Love is Important
Self love is the natural outflow of knowing there is more to you and others than the
personality. It comes from allowing yourself to experience the Divine in you and others.
Do you resist your perfect nature, the authentic you? You don’t have to strive for it; you
already are perfection.
It is not narcissistic or arrogant to love yourself as some have been taught. It does not
mean you are better than anyone else. You, and all people, came into this world as
expressions of Divine Love. Denying this is refusing your birthright to co-create your life
in delightful, beautiful, and meaningful ways.
how you feel about and treat yourself goes out into the world as a frequency and
affects everyone. Loving self and loving others is the same thing; hating self and hating
others is the same thing. What you put out comes right back to you.
We are all the same person experiencing only one problem—lack of love. the challenges
have different faces with different themes and stories. We are individual expressions of
the whole and are not separate.
each person reveals their divinity and humanity through their unique path. all paths,
sooner or later, lead back to the same place, the Divine. You are homesick for your
Divine Self and instinctively know this. at a deep level, you have a memory of it.
Building Self Love
to experience the Divine part of you as a stronger presence in your life you must
increase self-love. these practices will make you irresistibly attractive to your vision.
• respect yourself by valuing your time, your vision and yourself
• Stand up for what you believe in
• Lovingly ask for what you want

• Self-esteem and self-worth involve honoring your feelings, path and direction with
your words, actions and behavior
• Stop doing things you don’t want to do in order to gain someone’s love

What impedes Love
these behaviors create stagnation and non-action.
• rescuing people, doing everything for them; feeling sorry for them
• Feeling guilty because you are doing well when others are not
• no value to label things as good or bad
• Making yourself wrong
• Feeling inferior; feeling superior
• Living in the future makes who we are right now inadequate
• Imposing your will on others; allowing others to impose theirs on you
• accepting beliefs and attitudes of others as your own
• any negative view of yourself and other people
• Criticizing self and others

Peaceful Resolution Love Practice
Light is the embodiment of Divine Love. no problem is more powerful than the Light
of the Divine. this is an exercise in seeing beyond the fearful, negative side of yourself
and others, right to the core of who we really are—light-filled, unlimited, radiant beings.
It is Love in action.
this practice will positively influence challenges more than anything else you do. It can
heal relationships and resolve any difficulty. You are focusing on the Divine Love that is
at the core of everyone and everything. Doing so allows that aspect of them to emerge.
Optimism, joy, peace, and love will spill over into your life.
You are giving up control and surrendering all issues to the Divine to go out into the
universe and make things happen for you and everyone else. the effects extend out
into the world, do this practice daily for peace, harmony, and success. problems take
care of themselves, stress dissolves, and health, productivity, and creativity improve.
1. Set an intention to receive and transmit the highest light possible for the highest
good of all. Get quiet and relaxed. a few minutes of stretching helps to quiet your
body and mind.
2. Sit comfortably with a straight spine. Focus on breathing deeply and slowly to
the lower abdomen for 5-10 breaths. Visualize a scene that helps you feel calm. Bring
a feeling of relaxation into your entire body from head to toe. take a few minutes
for this.
3. picture your heart as a beautiful flower bud fully open to receive. Call light to you and
imagine light coming in through the top of your head. Slowly move it down through
your face and into your throat, holding the light there for about 20 seconds. next
move the light into the center of your chest. hold it there. expand the light. See how
big and bright you can make it.
“Darkness cannot drive out
darkness: only light can do that.
hate cannot drive out hate: only love can
do that.”

4. now picture in your mind someone you are in conflict with and extend the light from
your heart to their heart. You are connected by light. See it moving through them
and surrounding them and hold this image for 20 seconds or longer.
5. next, see yourself in your mind’s eye surrounded in this brilliant, beautiful light com-
ing from your heart and hold this image for 20 seconds or longer. When the process
feels complete, slowly bring your attention back to the room and thank yourself.
You can do this for family, friends, co-workers, troubled parts of the world, etc. Direct
this light from your heart to your perfect home or job even if you don’t know what they
are, and the perfect home or job will come to you. Move this light through your body for
healing. Or send it out from you to a larger bank account or anything important to you.
Success Tips
