So I put in a wooden stake in case they ever need an escape route. ... and away. Frogs pop up all over the place at our house. In the seedlings... In the old water bowl... Sure enough, this little froggie used the stake to get up, up ... “This plastic sure is slippery” “Phew!” A frog’s escape These are Bell frogs which were imported to New Zealand from Tasmania in the 1800s. They do quite well here but are in decline in their native Australia and frogs in general are under threat around the world. Meanwhile our native frogs in NZ are endangered.
