SENDING STUDENTS TO THE OFFICE
ALL staff who send a student to the office MUST notify the office the student is coming.
ALL students who are sent to the office need a referral in hand or the teacher must notify the office as to WHY the student is in the office.
ALL students who come to the office must speak with a principal before they return to the next class period.

Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences October 5 (all day) and 6 (after school)-Exchange day October 9.
NHS Homecoming Week…parade is Wednesday, October 8 February 24 (after school) and 25 (all day) – Exchange day February 26.
End of semester…January 12, work day January 13 grades due on 13th.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL…REGISTRATION
Wiki…Teachers assignments during registration!!8th grade to bike rack. 7th grade to playground. 6th grade to big gym.
7th & 8th enter the building 7:38…go to homeroom complete registration process, get to know kids, etc. until 8:50.
6th grade will walk with homeroom teacher to rooms from gym at 7:45.
Homeroom lists in gym. Red stop and put money in accounts first.
Classes start at 8:53…periods 1, 2, 3, 7 & 8 are 24 minutes long. Periods 4, 5 and 6 are about 48 minutes long. Note TA2 times.
U never get a 2nd chance to make a 1st impression!!

First Two Weeks-School Rules\Procedures: Patriot Traits
Tuesday, September 8 – moving day, explanation day Very similar to how WTP was 2nd semester last year. You are doing what you did last year, unless you want to change then see Amy or Sarah…no guarantees.
WTP: 3 cycles: 10 weeks instruction, 2 weeks of testing.
Enrichment groups should stay the same for the whole year. If you are changing enrichment groups, please let Amy or Sarah know (minimum 5 weeks).
Not a homework time. Reading chapter books, not text books.
BEYOND THE BELL
What: After school program that provides tutoring and supervision
Where: Commons and Classrooms
When : 2:45 – 5:30
How: Students sign up through a form available in the office. Contact person in the office will be Karen and Kayla
NO students are allowed to attend Beyond the Bell until the proper paperwork has been filed
A greatly reduced fee is offered if the student is on Free or Reduced Lunch
