Dear Sir:
In response to your request and for the purpose of tolerance verification of your first edition pistol we
have performed a dimensional analysis of your gun utilizing a coordinate measuring machine (CMM) for
the 1911 pistol identified as follows:

On July 27, 2011 Brent Barnhart, Quality Control Inspector, Penn United Technologies, Inc. conducted a
CMM inspection of your pistol at our complex located at 799 N. Pike Road, Cabot, PA.
Attached hereto are two CMM reports relating to the frame and slide of you gun. The first report contains
measurements off to the receiver (frame) to your 1911, serial no. CGXPUT REDACTED while the second
report shows measurements for the slide of your REDACTED. These CMM reports show three columns of
data. The “Actual” column is the actual measurement of your gun. The second column entitled “Nominal”
are the Cabot Guns by Penn United Technologis, Inc. print dimension specification to which our pistols are
designed to be constructed. The final column shown as “Deviation” denotes the differential between plan
specifications and actual construction.
Our state-of-the art construction technology is designed to build pistols with a total frame to slide fit of 0.001
inches (1/1000th of an inch). We are pleased to report the actual clearance on your pistol is .0007 or 7/10,000
of an inch), thus exceeding our objective specifications. These data, as can be seen on the CMM reports are
also summarized below as follows:

Please note these CMM reports were undertaken utilized a Zeiss Prismo Super Accurate CMM which is
accurate to 40 millionths of an inch. Our frames and slides are designed to tolerance variances of no more
than 2/10,000 of inch per side.
In addition to the frame to slide fit your gun all critical aspects of the pistol were measured to ensure
conformity with our gun design specifications. We are also pleased to report all dimensional construction
characteristics were successfully achieved in the construction of your 1911.
