To Everything there is a Season: Pamunkey TraditionsSee how the Pamunkey practiced their skills at gathering nature’s abundance and discover this rich and vibrant people. During the 18th century, Native societies such as the Pamunkey lived in well-established communities on the York and Pamunkey rivers. Masters of the environment, the Pamunkey people provided labor, produce and wares to Virginia settlements. Location: Governor’s Palace Grounds

An Audience with a Founder of the NationWhat questions would you ask our nation’s founders? What would you like to know about their lives and poli-tics? Time: 1:30 p.m.- 2:15 p.m. Raleigh Tavern Holiday ExplorationHolidays are a time for people to travel and visit with friends and relations. Discuss the holiday season from different perspectives of those who worked in or stayed at one of the colonial period’s most popular social spots. Location: Raleigh Tavern

Capitol ExplorationVisit the seat of government in Virginia as it transitions from colony to commonwealth. Between 9:00 and 3:45, enjoy a 25-minute guided experience. Between 4 and 5, explore at your own pace and ask as many questions as you like. Location: Capitol
Palace ExplorationExperience the grandeur of royal government in Virginia just before its collapse. Explore the residence of the royal governor at your own pace, and directed by your own interests. Wander the Palace and feel free to ask any questions. Location: Governor’s Palace
