A CYCLING RELAY TRIP FROM WASHINGTON TO LOS ANGELES « Z FOR MARGO » fights against children’s cancer 10 cyclists, 4.800 kms in 8 days from 15 to 23 August 2013 DONATING IS TAKING ACTION Event organised by « les Z’éparpillés du Bâtiment et de l’Immobilier » For IMAGINE FOR MARGO IMAGINE FOR MARGO Margo died on 07 June 2010, taken away by an aggressive brain tumour called Glioblastome. She was 14 years old. She was the one instigating the first fundraising and managed to collect 103 335 Euros which were handed to the team of paediatrics of the Cancer Institute GUSTAVE ROUSSY at Villejuif hospital. The association continues organising events to collect funds and raise awareness in order to help the European research particularly for specific, innovative and more effective treatments for children with cancer. More information on www.imagineformargo.org/eng/ The association has signed a partnership with ITCC (innovative therapies for children with cancer) which includes 42 European research centers on paediatrics cancers such as Institute GUSTAVE ROUSSY, Institute Curie, Trousseau and St Louis hospitals in Paris. ITCC’ president is professor G. VASSAL Director of clinical research at the institute GUSTAVE ROUSSY, he is also president of SIOPE (the European society for paediatric oncology) The event from 15 to 23 August 2013 Friendship, solidarity, self transcendence : Core values for a challenge set off by 10 friends entering a cycle relay. They will pedal 8 days non-stop, 25 km per hour/average. The Z’éparpillés relay trip for Margo in tribute to her fight and to support the association IMAGINE for MARGO, which is opening a branch in New York this year, have the vocation to raise funds and awareness, in order to help the European research particularly for specific, innovative and more effective treatments for children with cancer.
