Main Holiday

Vietnamese New years is on January 31 and is called Tet It is the most important festival and public holiday in Vietnam and

lasts Tet falls on the first night of the new moon in the first of the Lunar

Calendar, usually taking place between the last week of January and the third week of February

People will buy more new clothes at this time of year and it is also a popular time for people to change jobs or switch careers

Ong Tau, the god of the Hearth returns at midnight on the start of new year and is welcomed with fireworks and gongs
